English FA

Almost as inept as the Welsh FA.

Hodgson over Redknapp? Hmmmm.

Re: English FA

laughing stock of world football...as normal

Re: English FA

Mon Apr 30, 2012 5:05 pm

Hodgson is a far superior candidate in my opinion.

Re: English FA

Mon Apr 30, 2012 5:06 pm

Hmm - Hodgson is a decent manager who did well well at Inter and other european clubs, as well as managing Switzerland and Finland to some of their highest rankings. He is also out of contract at WBA, whereas Redknapp would cost a fair bit in compensation. Redknapp plays more attractive football but I reckon he would be lost without the everyday wheeling and dealing that he seems to get off on. Hodgson won't let them down and perhaps more importantly for them, he won't give them any grief.

The man that got title winning Blackburn relegated bravo.

RH isn't a bad manager, but no one could lead the complete group of average that is the English National Football Team to victory. The batch is shit and unlike club football, thats not the managers fault.

Re: English FA

Hodgson is a good coach.

Redknapp wheels and deals, sadly those UEFA/FIFA spoilsports won't allow it.

HTH.

Re: English FA

They need a motivator , not a tactician. I'd be very happy with Woy getting the job coz they'll win f**k all with him !!!

Re: English FA

Mon Apr 30, 2012 5:13 pm

I'd prefer they give it to Steve Kean or Alan Shearer

Hodgson far better than Redknapp, and many Spurs fans are getting sick of 'Arrys dodgy tactics and selections.

Sums it up. A good thing is we wont have to see them full blown carboard cut outs of wayne rooney and steven gerrard standing in the beer section of tescos for long.

I rest my case.

Young Proffessor Words probably prefers Woy as he is more articulate.

Woy is good at making below average teams hard to beat. He showed at Liverpool and Blackburn when expectations are more he cannot cut it.

As for Spurs fans tiring of Redknapp

Tired if what? Pushing for champions league instead of off the bottom of the table?

Apart from a dodgy spell of late they have been great to watch again this season.

Seems like the English FA didnt believe the bollocks about Redknapp forgetting about the overseas bank account ( in his dogs name! ) with £179k of untaxed cash in it. :o :o

The Redknapp Delusion

Re: English FA

Mon Apr 30, 2012 7:57 pm

As a proud Welshman Im actually quite disappointed as, for once, I think the FA have made the right decision.

RH has has already managed several International Sides and took Switzerland into one of the top 4 sides in the World. He doesnt come with baggage and appears to have that calming influence that an International side needs.

No Controversy and free. To me its a No-Brainer.

Maybe they're concentrating on the Olympics!!

Re: English FA

Mon Apr 30, 2012 8:17 pm

Redknapp is tactically inept and would get rinsed at international level. Hodgson's better in that regard

Nothing to do with him being articulate.

Compare their CV's and it's a no-brainer. Experience, knowledge, trophies all in Hodgson's favour.

I like Redknapp as a person, but Hodgson is a far superior manager and coach.

What season did Blackburn win the title, and what year did they get relegated?

Was Roy Hodgson in charge of blackburn when they got relegated, or was it before that?

What percentage of his career does his time at Blackburn constitute?

i was on about the second part, no manager would be able to lead england to glory cos they're crap

Ah the old Woy Hodgson has experience argument. Like Redknapp doesnt?

International experience with Switzerland TWENTY years ago wont stand him in much stead with todays millionairw primadonnas. As for Finland worst win ratio by a manager of the national team. Just made them hard to beat.

The press will gave a field day with him. A Turnip Taylor in the waiting.

Woy The Wally. I can see it now after a succesion of negative performances.

Nevermind I bet Paul Konchesky happy. He may get a call for the euros.
