' Mini Update from the vale today "

just thought hope carl hasnt got a patent on the word update, anyway here goes ,went down early today met darcy blake first ,my god that boy looks fit and lean ,he is the fittest hes been for years,there was quite a few families there looking on and as the players came out to train the usual suspects were popular for photos and autographs . earnie whitts miller and gunnarson to the fore but it was malky himself that was most popular ,i must say no one refused there time and they all seemed happy and relaxed.after the warm ups they had a funny sort of kick about with both sides defending 2 sets of goals , whitts looked exceptionally sharp as did lawrence and earnie , malky sent the majority of the first team back to the changing rooms after about 30 minutes and the rest had a 5 a side on there own .gunnarson only completed the warm up cowie did not train niether did gestede and obviously conway ,i spoke to gunnarson and asked why he came off at barnsley and he said he was feeling unwell with double vision from a bug of some kind , he did not travel back from barnsley on the team bus as a precaution, i also spoke to joe mason he came off at barnsley due to exhaustion and his previous injury is no longer a problem and he will be ok tuesday if selected i asked him about don cowie and he said he was upstairs getting treatment and was better than 50 / 50 to play tuesday if also selected, i then spoke to rudy gestede about his hip injury and he said he was also suffering from a thigh injury and was not sure how long he would be out , finally i had a word with craig conway(poor bugger) hes resigned to a long hard slog to get back but was remarkably in good spirits and seemed very chirpy .i thanked malky on behalf of the forum bus for giving us away fans a bloody good season so far and begged him to make it even better in the next couple of weeks malky thanked me for our support , hope you enjoyed this mini update ,thats the way we like it, do the ayotollah and get yourselves down there tomorow and lets rock the place

Did Conway take part in any kind of light training at all? Or is he all plastered up recovering?

no he didnt hes in one of those boot things goes upto the knee

I spoke to quinny already on twitter and he said he's had a few bits and bobs done to his ankle - was bed ridden a fort night ago but is hobbling about on crutches as far as I know now. He won't be back til pre season.

Conway, Rudy & Joe Ralls were in the gym at 11:30, Sean the physio had them boxing (not against each other, with the mits) plus press up's etc, Conway took an active part but as mentioned was plastered from below the knee down.

Thanks for the update.
I know this has been asked before but wish to take my 9 yr old down (ok, ok, I want to go to lol) and was wondering what time you got there and what is suggested is best to go in the morning and afternoon.

hi paso mornings is best not sure what they do pm if anything at all sugest you get there for 10 30 ish , today they came out about 11ish for about an hour ,if your boy wants autographs / photos best to ask when they first come out or on there way back in as you have to stay behind the large neting area due to health and safety when there training , but its all very welcoming and friendly down there now dj is gone and malky is in charge hope your boy enjoys it

glad you all seem to like it , its the first one ive done, might consider doing another one in the future, but only if i get info that is news not common knowledge, and i defo want being treading on any ones toes ,or puting any thing negative out
