After the challenge by Middlesbrough keeper Jason Steele, Kenny Miller was left with a gash in his knee which was so deep, bone could be seen.
On Saturday evening it was said that Miller had absolutely no chance of playing any part against Watford.
Due to injuries to Gestede and Mason, the medical team glued the cut and hoped that it would not open up, Miller played the full 90 mins yesterday and got a well deserved goal.
Respect to you Kenny Miller

See Carl, we all at some point have a moan at players & the the way the team play - but that just shows to me the determination the squad have as whole to do the best they can & fight on til the end.
I just wish we could have turned some poor performances at home (& regardless how much of a spin we try & put on it - they have been poor) into a few wins & we'd be comfortably in the play offs by now.
Like the ethos of the squad though I for one will not give up & fight on til the end too!!!!

Imagine Jay Bothroyd doing that!

By far the most determined and classiest player in our squad - I wish him well and hope he starts banging them in again!!
Tue Apr 10, 2012 1:10 pm
yea good on him for that.

Delighted for kenny to get his goal,he works so hard and has an outstanding attitude
Fair play to the city fans at middlesborough,we were even cheering kenny when he was taking practice shots, thats what you should do when a player is maybe a little short of confidence, not start unbelievable kenny is shit threads on messageboards.
hopefully next season we can bring a top striker in to help kenny out

LOL . Imagaine Miller scoring as many goals as Jay did for us . Miller game to goal ratio is a joke for a so called top class striker

There was a thread on here this week comparing bothroyd to miller.. Bothroyd would have been out for 4 weeks in the same circumstances

without a shadow of a doubt,Jay could have done more to get back playing after his mid season injury last year and thats what bothers me more than his on the floor antics and ego

The guy never stops running or working. It's really hard playing as a lone striker 4-5-1.
I haven't got a bad word to say about him!

oh yes - like he has in the Premiership - the guy's a waste off space! If he spent more time training and less twittering he might be able to syay off his arse for a minute or two
Tue Apr 10, 2012 2:36 pm
Miller is a class act, miles and miles ahead of any other striker we have in the squad, I was really pleased for him to get a goal.
Can you imagine if we had to play Earnie upfront on his own?
Tue Apr 10, 2012 2:45 pm
and people moan about him
Christ

Hopefully Kenny starts to get bk into good form, I know he will be one of the most dangerous championship players if he is in good form

Earth to Mars we're not in the Premiership and Miller would have a hard time himself after all he can barley score at Championship level, never mind Prem . Miller a great midfield player , such a shame then he's our 1st choice striker

LOL. That's only because Rudy and Earnie are such jokes . Give me Joe anyday of the week

It didnt take something like that to earn my respect, i have backed him all the way from day one, if we had someone tidy upfront with him he would have had a lot more goals, if we get into the playoffs kenny will be the main man and if we make the final put your money on him getting the winner.

1st time i did not bet him for 1st goal

but my bet came in winning at half time and a draw at full time 15-1

15-1? That's pretty much a guarantee with Cardiff!

King Lenny is one of the most gifted player we have had down here, he holds the ball up well, is skill full when he has it and uses it well, he has shown he can bang them in when he gets the chance, it is not his fault that he is being marked by two monster centre halts every week and we pump the ball up high that he has no chance of winning.
Don't blame him - blame the messenger

You can't knock his strength of character.
On his own battling only to have no one there to feed off his graft.
Then watching our team pull back after we score leaving him more isolated.
4 5 1 has limitations when no midfielder has been in scoring form.
Personally, I would play Miller flat out for 70 minutes and then put 2 pacy attackers on (oh forgot - we have no-one, or malky too stubborn)
I also think Miller should be allowed to miss a game or two to recharge.
I hope Malky learns some lessons and gets the team playing football.
Every game follows the same pattern.
We got sussed a long time ago.
