She said where has that come from  I said what do you think? she said how do I complain

No today the atmosphere was quite poor, it seem like everyone waits for the drum to bang ( out of tune) untill they sing, better off without it then we sing more IMO p.s the drum is to ssssslllloowwwwwwwwwwwww

Fries my brain.
People moan about shit atmosphere, too quiet etc.. All happy to blame the stadium. But when the drum is sounded, to help raise the atmosphere, people just sit there and moan about it. WHY?

Personally I like it as it gets SOME of the old grumpy bastards doing something.

The drum is a winner. Maybe the atmosphere wasn't the best today, but the weather didn't help.

All the drums in the world will not get the ground rocking if we are watching garbage on the pitch

I'm pretty sure if Garbage were playing there would be quite a good atmosphere :D

Not a fan of the drum what so ever, not just the one at the CCS, but drums in all grounds, its just a manufactured atmosphere for modern day football. Same goes for songs on the PA to try and build atmosphere, so everyone joins in a mass sing along, load of bollocks. When I first started to go to football, the atmosphere built up on the terraces, the days when you wasn't told when or when you can stand up, when stewards think they are Police and ejecting you for the slightest thing. I feel sorry for the young kids who go to football in this day and age as they will never get to see or hear a proper atmosphere. Sorry to sound miserable, but I hate the new ground and all that comes with it, glad I pick and choose my games now cos I can't be arsed going down there every other week.

Unfortunately it doesnt seem to work like that down CCS Annis.

If the team are playing well its a great atmosphere, if their not its shit.

No, ya man only hits it at about 40 beats per minute...like a fecking funeral march!

3 little birds needs to be at least 60 bpm with an off beat on every third and a shuffle onthe fourth bar

You need someone with "reel rythmn" as oppposed to jig :ayatollah:

^^^^ what he said. As a drummer myself the timing between the snare and the bass was way out on occasions unless it was the accoustics in the ground maybe? If done properly it could work well and prefer the two drums to the one otherwise it is as bit of a dirth

. Yes Tommy I feel the same. FFs a drum, we have become a happy clappy club. The truth is they are replacing us with a more compliant and family orientated fan. They seem to have succeeded . Hardly any lads I know go anymore, they stay in the pubs instead, it's shite . The extra seating areas behind need to be boarded off . The sound goes up and it's lost. Having said that the Leicester play off was great. :old:

Ever so glad the drum is the opposite end of the ground to me.

Re: " HONEST OPINIONS REGARDING "

I think the drum is ok in bits. But I'am more worried about the canton stand being tribal. Example being the boys at the back for 104 start a song but nobody joins in. But as soon has the lads in 106 start a song all their friends join in. Get the feeling you can only sing in the canton if the main mob start it.

Re: " HONEST OPINIONS REGARDING "

At least someone's making an effort to improve the atmosphere even if sometimes it does feel like the drum is being beaten by a senile old man with ADHD.

Next step we'll need to move to now is a loud speaker!

Totally agree and been saying this for a while. We sit in 103 and join in with those lads but we're in the minority.

It's like being sat on the naughty step

There's a great chant that the guys in 104 keep going for 10 minutes which nobody else joins in. Then one part chorus of that frigging awful Palarse song and blocks 105, 106 are straight on it and don't get me started on that "greatest team in football chant

Re: " HONEST OPINIONS REGARDING "

I am sat right between 106 and 104 in 105 and it must be the stadium acoustics because the chants from 104 sound like they are in a far distant corner. Maybe this is because of the numbers involved. Maybe we could turn this into something positive mind. 104 vs 106. 104 does a chant, 106 responds etc. :ayatollah:

I've liked the idea of drums, but i think the positioning up in the gantry is wrong. Why not try down the front of the Canton, in on of the corners. Also, they seem to run out of ideas, leaving long periods of silence.
