I know he is a swan but why?

Fri Apr 06, 2012 8:37 pm

why did we not sign scott dobbie
one thing we are lacking is goals 4 in three he got

malky keeps missing players ,for instance jason roberts but an article in the paper asking for someone to get him and he still did not make an offer, i listened to the reading game on the radio and he bossed it up front and also since he been there they are on fire, his experience as lifted the whole team

our players have been running on empty for a while now and a few new faces could have lift them all and made them fight more for there places, at the moment they all know there playing as not much competition and also malky dont mess with team

come on now 6 games to go we win four I think we are in the playoffs!

He wouldn't want to play for us anyway.

Said this months ago was told he is no better than what we had

Then we go and pay 18k a week for Liam Lawrence

Dobbie is a fantastic footballer. My kind of player. Skillful, good football brain with an eye for goal.

What bemuzed me today was Swansea started with Luke Moore up front. Surely Dobbie is a better player than Moore? I would have taken Dobbie and Roberts, but obviously Malky is happy playing his 4-5-1 so he didn't feel we needed to bring in strikers. I think Lawrence is doing a decent job for us but he hasn't really added anything on top of what he have already got and he's definitely not worth 18k a week. I honestly think players like Ralls who has an engine, is good on the ball and most importantly, isn't afraid to shoot could have stepped in and not weakened us at all and Lawrence's 18k a week could have been spent elsewhere.

Dobbie isnt an out and out striker and could easily have slotted into our 4 5 1 but is probably too creative for negative Malky.

but he's not as negative as old 'moans' was over the last few years for us :!:

Really?

His football is far more negative and he moans like f**k about luck and officials to hide his shortcomings.

How people claim that he is a crap makes me laugh just because he plays for Swansea.

The guy is excellent at this level and knows this league and knows what it takes to get out of it.

He is a massive impact player.

I think hes better than that winger for Southamtpon Adam Llalna whatever his name is! :ayatollah:

Different players yes, Dobbie can play football, Rudy cannot.

Just repeating what was thrown at me
when I suggested him. Apparently he was no better than any of our forwards.

Hes better than all of them but then with Malkys hoofball perhaps not suited to us

Re: I know he is a swan but why?

We needed a new striker. Or goalscoring record proves it. Other teams strenghend, we didnt. Lay of the easter eggs theyre making you delusional.

Re: I know he is a swan but why?

Sat Apr 07, 2012 11:35 am

Stephen Dobbie would have worked excellent with a Noone or maybe trying Kadeem Harris.

Proven and reliable. I wanted him in Jan and wrote it on here.

He actually does suit us - we dont work with real strikers, we use Millar as a foil or Gestede to head on - they aren't goal scorers.
With those moving defenders around - you'd have Dobbie popping up on the edge of the box, slotting them in.

dont care if he's a jb or blackpool - we've swapped players and managers for years :ayatollah:

Re: I know he is a swan but why?

Sat Apr 07, 2012 1:29 pm

Ah the regular Dobbie love-in.

FACTS.

1) Unable to get into the jacks side over recent seasons on a regular basis.
2) First loan at Blackpool, far from making a major contribution as some claim, was overwhelmingly used as a sub.
3) He's no better than Mason. In fact, Mason has far more upside, yet some would rather a Jack play instead.

Staggering.
