" MALKY'S FUMING AND TALKS ABOUT LUCK ? "

Its dire and if we continue to play one up front at home its only going to get worse

Results and performances dont lie,2 wins from our last 14 games.

Please Malky dont make excuses/just be honest we never played well and you make your own luck in football and it does even out over a season.

We live to fight another day, Boro here we come. :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

" Bluebirds boss Mackay furious over ‘embarrassing’ decision to disallow Gunnarsson ‘goal.' "

' Wales On Sunday Apr 1st 2012. '

" CARDIFF CITY boss Malky Mackay felt an “embarrassing and horrendous” decision dented the Bluebirds’ play-off bid yesterday. "

Mackay’s side missed the chance to turn up the heat on their promotion rivals after being held 0-0 by relegation-threatened Millwall in the lunchtime kick-off.

This was the fifth successive home game Cardiff have failed to win but a poor contest produced one big talking point.

It centred around the disallowing of Aron Gunnarsson’s 81st-minute header for a push on Millwall midfielder Jimmy Abdou – the effort ruled out by flagging assistant referee Mark Russell.

“It is very frustrating and bitterly disappointing because for the third time this season a linesman has disallowed a perfectly legal goal,” said a furious Mackay.

“When they see the DVD they will see it’s an embarrassing and horrendous decision. It’s completely wrong.

“Gunnarsson only has his eyes on the ball and their player pulls him down for (what should have been a) penalty.

“Everyone has said the same and it’s something I’ll speak to Dave Allison at the Referees’ Association again.

“Twice he’s phoned me with an apology and I’m sure he’s going to be phoning me for a third time when he sees the DVD footage.”

Mackay said Cardiff had 22 shots on goal – 11 of them on target – but Lions goalkeeper Maik Taylor was not overly stretched in a contest of few real openings.

“We were up against a team who were fighting for their life, who packed bodies in and tried to get men behind the ball,” said Mackay.

“The one time we opened them up was at a set-piece and we scored a perfectly legal header, but the linesmen decides to intervene.

“They say luck evens itself out but it’s not really the case.

“It’s not about offside, it’s about pulling people.

“The referee gave the goal, but the linesmen delayed three or four seconds and then puts his flag up. It’s bizarre.

“You can’t have linesmen running games. Fair enough offsides, and their player (Andy Keogh) is clearly two yards offside when he puts the ball in the net.

“But when there’s anything in that box and the referee is 15 yards away and the linesmen is 50 yards away, well, I know who I’d rather see make the decision.

“Linesmen have got to be careful because decisions like that will come back on them.

“That’s what I’m sure will happen in this case as far as the markings of the referees’ assessor is concerned.”

Cardiff’s 16th draw of the season – the highest in the Championship – leaves them two points outside the play-off zone following a run of just 12 points from 13 games.

Joe Mason had the best opening of a drab first period when Paul Robinson cleared his shot off the line.

The Bluebirds came to life after the break when Gunnarsson spurned a golden opportunity from close range.

Millwall boss Kenny Jackett, the former Wales midfielder and Swansea City manager, said: “It was a good point and we would have taken that before the game.

“We played two up front and tried to counter-attack. We knew Cardiff would have a lot of possession and we had to be brave.”

No more 1 up front at home Annis, else fans will stay away...Conway deserves a run until the end of the season aswell. We so needed fire power in the window (look at Jason Roberts)

Malky's honeymoon is well and truely over for me..Why has he changed tune from first part of the season?

Morning!

Wiggy, It has to change.

Just found out the actual attendance that turned up was under 15,000  Fans are voting with their feet big time.
Yes I am questioning him now, but I believe we should keep him and give him a crack at next season as he deserves a chance,
Malky says the board backed him, if so then he has to take the blame, not make excuses.

Getting fed up with Malky blaming everyone except his own team. At the moment we are playing as bad as we did under Jones. Time for Malky to show the fans just how good a manager he is( and i think he is a good manager)but at the moment we are going nowhere AND FAST   BUT LOOKING FORWARD TO BORO :ayatollah:

I'm fed up of Malky and his excuses. The goal was disalowed, get over it and instill some confidence in the players to score another.

Millwall were there for the taking yesterday but only the fans wearing deep blue tinted specs would deny that they deserved at least a draw.

We're not good enough - 2 wins out of 14 is relegation form FFS.

MALKY, SORT IT OUT!!!

Plenty of effort but if you've no width and want your full baks to run the channels whilst the 5 in midfield play touch football, you've got to find a way of making McNaughton understand that passing is to our players and not row k of the grandstand!

Where the bleeding hell is this youngster from Wycombe? Give the boy a chnace from now until the end of the season.

Conway's spent enought time on the bench, and why on earth is Lawrence running around the middle half the time, let him loose out wide right where he likes to shoot from 25-30 yards. I know it's all tactical and you can't keep blaming Millar, he works his socks off but delivery is shite!

mornong ccf.annis whats changed since before xmas?have teams sussed you out?you had a lot of close fought wins if i remember right.the year we finished 9th under mcliesh we did the same up untill mid jan.was the football poor then but was masked because of you winning?at blues it was hardly barcalona under mcliesh but because we kept winning 1.0 it covered a lot up.for me it was a case of win 1.0 and we,re dogged, determined etc.when we started losing or drawing it showed the flaws of not bothering to attack teams.last weekend at brum you were so well organised but lacked real width.i thought the system was good but needed a burke oneside and a left footed burke on the other and it would have been excellent.to me if your going to play narrow then when you get the ball lumped forward it needs to stick .you perhaps need a bigger lad for this and the midfield need to push up to him.it sounds like fear has gripped mm and picks teams not to lose rather than win.must be jock managers mate  i think ccfc have done well considering the squad malky had but i bet its frustrating for you as you,ve been high all season.i reckon he deserves the chance to get those wingers in the summer.

Annis Gunnarsson did pull the shirt of the Millwall defender and the guy went over. It happened right in front of me and the first thing I did was look to the linesman and he was flagging and pulling the side of his shirt to show the referee why.

How much contact there was I obviously don't know but one second the defender was with Gunarsson and the next he is on the floor and Gunnarsson had a simple finish.

Having a go at the officials just papers over the cracks of the facts and they are we have failed to score in 4 of our last 5 homes games. Despite have £4m to spend in January MM failed to bring in the experienced striker we all knew was desperately needed.

Reading got Jason Roberts for a fee reported as less than 250k andhe has scored 5 goals in 10 appearances. Billy Sharp and Nicky Maynard both went for less than half the £4m Malkay had to spend in January. Blackpool got Bednar, Fleck and Dobbie whilst Birmingham got Hesselklepp, Brighton got Vokes and Middlesbrough got Juckewicz.

MM needs to stop moaning about luck because I believe you make your own and his decision to not sign an experienced striker to support Kenny Miller was a mistake and the chickens are coming home to roost. Mason has been fantastic but his lack of experience has started to show, Rudy is raw and may or may not develop into a player who can perform week in week out at this level whilst we all know Earnie is a confidence player who after being ignored for 4 months is way short of match sharpness and as a result looks terrible.

We are now only a few games away from Malkay giving the old I'm proud of all my players, they have been magnificent this season and we regroup and go again next season.

I wonder how MM will feel if Watford go above us on Easter monday, and it is possible. The club he left who have sold everything that isn't nailed down and have spent nothing finish above him when he had £4m to spend a couldn't find a player.

It beggars belief but that could happen. Bad luck BOLLOCKS.

The Boro game is earmarked for a lot of us ex pats. Sadly those I know will not be bothering to go due to the shit we are producing. Now before anyone has a go at them remember these guys do more travelling to one game than perhaps the average local Cardiff supporter does does in one month.

I really do believe MM is under pressure now. I never got carried away with the success he was having at the start of the season. I called it beginners luck. I decided to look at it all when things started to go wrong. How quickly would he be able to turn it around or at least stop a slump in its tracks. I had a scenario of the worse situation and it is not far of that.

The Malaysains will be owners by the summer. I just wonder if they will reconsider the management situation.

fair point annis.you need the personal to play 1 up top well and i don,t think your forwards are cut out for it .not with the lack of of width/pace. you have to get close to the lone man quickly.2 up front at home i,d say for you.you need to pick points up now so go for it .still handily placed.been a long season for both our teams.by the time we get to wembley it will be over 60games for us

My main concern is that Malky seems to have run out of ideas to address this current slump in form, and if he can't put it right now can he put it right in august for the start of a new promotion challenge.

also with the play offs seeming out of reach(due to our inability to win games) lets throw Gestade, Ralls and Harris in for the remaining games to give them game time/experience for next season.

No I don't believe they will even think for one second about changing MM this summer. I think when the season is over we will all reflect on this season and whilst disappointment will be the major feeling most fans will have and like myself most fans will thank MM for bringing back the affinity between manager, players and fans which has been missing since the Eddie May days.

However I hope MM will reflect on the decisions he has made and learn from them, be them good, not so good or bad, and move forward to next season and not repeat them.

Excellent post. Some city fans are burying their heads in our performances before Christmas and another (losing) day out at Wembley.

The bare facts are that we are not good enough and our crowd of 15,000 yesterday were bored shitless

cant believe you think MM is doing a terrible job
again were at the we demand premiership football point and we have no right to demand it in anyway
we play in a league where its proven that any team can beat any other team
we all know this but choose to ignore it when times get hard
yes we arent winning atmo but we are not losing much either where other teams are and we have everything to play for
weve jumped on the doom and gloom ride too soon again
there are only two teams who seem to have delusions of grandeur and thats West Ham who think they should be in the Champions League year in year out and put sometimes impossible demands on their squad and management and owners, the second unfortunately is us who think we have a god given right to be in the premiership
dont descend into delusion like West Ham do support the team get behind the manager and keep your fingers crossed its all we can do
the points are there for us to take
the opportunities for our rivals to slip up are there
this race is far from over

Just found out the actual attendance that turned up was under 15,000  Fans are voting with their feet big time.
Yes I am questioning him now, but I believe we should keep him and give him a crack at next season as he deserves a chance,
Malky says the board backed him, if so then he has to take the blame, not make excuses.

At least you've woke up . Some of us have been saying this for months (like since Christmas) and some of us even warned about how Watford faltered at the end if the season under Malky ,

The football we've been playing is dire, Malky piss poor 1 up front has been found out, he's no better than Jones and its clear has day to see all the trademark sighs are there ..

Players on daft wages - Check ( Miller wages are a joke like the player himself)

Manager too stubborn to change his tactics - Check

Manager not playing players he doesn't like or brings them on with 15 mins to go (utterly pointless) - Check

Manager that blames everyone else and the officials , bar himself - Check

Team running out of steam and idea's at the end of the season - Check

Players that can't pass the ball - Check

Team that can't hold on the a lead - Check

A joke on and off the Pitch -Check

And I tell you what, a few more years of this and Swansea being in the Prem and we'll be far from the biggest Team in Wales (like that means anything anyway) When more and more Kids grow up get used too and enjoy Swansea's brand of football more, compared to our dire brand of football .

Club should have got Ian Holloway. Be nice if Malky and Miller go back up to Scotland where their rubbish brand of football is perfectly suited
