New manager, same old shit.

Started the season like house on fire, fire now fizzling out.

Late goals conceded.

Manager too stubborn to do the obvious.

Same old, Same old.

kind of agree virtually had a bench full of midfielders that includes heaton to a certain degree

Manager who seems to have his "favourites"

Seems to be no plan B

The fact we have no striker on the bench is an absolute disgrace in my book

We're not expecting a Mourinho. Other clubs manage to find a Lambert, an Adkins, dare I say a Rodgers who seem to be able to cope without too many problems.

They didn't take over what MM took over.
Managers are stubborn, it's what they do.

The others took two seasons to build so let's see, how ours can do in one season.

As for rogers, it was set up for him.

Re: Same old Same old

If Rudy's injured, Earnie's injured/our of favour and Miller's misfiring we absolutely must recall Nat jarvis or Jon parkin from their loans. We need strikers desperately and even Parkin would do a job for us at holding up the ball and getting headers.

Got toadmit there are some points to consider here when we compare MM to DJ.

It's minimal really but MM will learn no doubt. There approached to football are totall different.

Malky had some qualities DJ lacked ie PR skills, rapport with the fans, built a togetherness at the club.

All off the pitch though.

On the pitch DJs football was better.

Re: Same old Same old

Basically I think everyone hated DJ because he had no rapport with fans and poor PR skills.

Everyone loved Malky when he came in because he had those skills that DJ did not.

The biggest differences imo are that Malky is young and inexperienced whereas DJ is more set in his ways.

It's a fair point you make. However I would be more able to accept what you say if we had begun the season poorly and we had to build from a bad start. But despite where he started from, Malky had us in third place in January and at one time only two points off an automatic place.

The slump recently has been worrying to say the least. An apparent unwillingness or inability to strengthen a squad which had done so well for part of the season is costing us dear.

Malky has previous form for this. His teams seem to fade in the last few months of the season even more than Dave Jones' teams and that must be of some concern.

I agree.

I think the players are more together under MM, they don't see to have the arrogance but not the quality either.

In saying that when DJ took over he had less than MM but built a team to survive who played awful football. It look a while for DJ to get us playing.

Rubbish excuse.

If we started poorly fair enough roll that excuse out but he inherited some decent players, some of the best in the division and also signed some sought after players so hes had the resources.

Its his stuborness in the striker department thats killing us.

Malky didnt inherit a team heading for league one he inherited a team that finished 4th two years on the trot.

Who is making an excuse?
I'm stating what happened.

I've said before If MM doesn't get into the play/offs this season is a failure. Doesnt mean he won't improve year on year like dj

oh well why dont he just take us from 4th to 20th then finish 19th next year, 18th the year after.

At least he will improve us year on year.

All DJ and Ridsdales good work establishing this club as a forced to be reckoned with in this division us going to go tits up if we are not careful.

I agree but I'm sure our form will turn around, it sounded like we played alright tonight. If we don't beat Bristol City on Saturday though then we have no hope.

not sure we play at fortress cardiff stadium just yet, to be over confident we will win all our home games ,but i worry more about the fact malky cant use the squad we got now,, or make changes during games as needed, so how would he be with a bigger squad, if he brings more in who out of his favorites would he leave out, :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: and what would happen if he fell out with any others would they also not get a game or bench position ever again :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

I've been away for a few weeks and am trying to catch up with what's been happening down the City, but there's one bit of info I need help with - tell me, who did we play a fortnight ago this weekend?
