So he didn't play well?

He isn't scoring at the moment which is a problem but a certain starter in my book for what he brings to the team.

A point away from home is always a good result.

If his performance or work rate drops I would say or if we have someone better.

Well I cant say if Earnie is better than him but it has got to a stage where it is worth the gamble.

Re: Brilliant result

Wed Mar 07, 2012 10:00 pm

A gamble? We just drew away against an inform Brighton away from home having scored two goals.

Earnie isn't good enough and certainly not as a loan striker

Re: Brilliant result

Wed Mar 07, 2012 10:05 pm

We must give Earnie a chance cause Miller is not up to it and we dont have no one else.

Brilliant. R u having a laugh  we lost the 3 points like we always do, sitting back.not happy. :(

Re: Brilliant result

Bloody sick of this now!

It's not a brilliant result. Quite the opposite in fact.

2-1 up with two minutes of normal time to go and then draw the game. That's not brilliant - it's a disaster.

Two points thrown away. Useless.

Happening too often yet again. Same as last season. Same as the previous seasons.

Same old City.

We lost two
We won't win every game certainly not against inform teams away.

Why you bothered anyway, your certain we won't go up so why does it matter

Re: Brilliant result

Great result tonight, to be honest I was not confident we would get anything against Brighton. Just wish some people would accept we haven't got a god given right to win every game and get off the teams back.

This result is something to build on and will hopefully give the team confidence moving forward.

Well a point away should delight you, point off the play/offs with a game in hand over blackpool and most our games now at the CCS

Re: Brilliant result

Wed Mar 07, 2012 11:22 pm

Bad result in the end. Fair enough if it was 2-2 at 70mins but a last minute goal will do nothing for the confidence of the team, we are forever losing ground on teams above us. Cant afford to do silly defensive errors in the last minute, be nice to have a clean sheet aswell. Very frustrating.

Sat in the prawn sarnies half way line not sure what game people have watched
Brighton battered us the first half. Second half different game mason great strike.
Please get off millers back the guy has had no service living off scraps if you can call it that
Plus Lawrence looked class second half more or less run the game fitted in well all the Brighton fans stating good player.

Last point I think earnie should be On the bench but please don't think he is better than Kenny who woks for the team system

Jonah.

Miller cant score. Needs to be dropped. Yes he works hard and got good movement but we need a goal scorer. You say he lives off scraps yet he misses sitters constantly.

Re: Brilliant result

It's a very good result tonight against an in-form Brighton team away from home. It would of been really worrying if we would of lost tonight. It's just gut-wrenching to concede in the 89th minute.

Miller is a quality championship striker but I feel giving him a rest would benefit him and the team massively towards the end of the season. I love Kev as well, but he also would benefit from a rest I feel.

Also what has happened to Conway??? The Bull was 1 of our best players against Palace in the 2nd leg and has hardly featured since. I think he's been an unused sub in the last 3 or 4 games!

My team to play the wurzels:

------------Heaton
--Blake Hudson Turner Taylor
Lawrence Gunnar Whitts Cowie Conway
------------Mason---------------------------Subs: Marshall, Mcnaughton, Kiss, Vuckic, Miller

id play exactly the same team you mentioned and also some good points in your post aswell, rotating the squad is going to be vital and i honestly believe ours is good enough for promotion, mason is a star and well capable of playing up front on his own as he showed at Leeds,

Re: Brilliant result

Happy with a point last night to be honest and the team did well against a good team but I am sure Malky will be pissed off that we lost from a winning position again.

I think only Coventry have done this more than us this season and its something that should have been sorted a long time ago we give teams to much space to get balls in when we are on the back foot and we sit back to much.We need to challenge higher up the field and not park are team by Marshall its got to be sorted.

Happy and would have taken a point before kick off but it could and should of been a lot better.

Re: Brilliant result

Thu Mar 08, 2012 7:53 am

im very happy with a draw at brighton to be honest. they havnt lost at all in 2012 and in the first half we could have been two down. good save from marshall against mackail smith and they hit the post..

ok maybe we could have come away with 3 in the end but before kick off we all would have taken this result.. only reading failed to drop pts this week, its still wide open.

it wasnt until i looked at the fixtures to realise how many pts were still at stake..

also brum, boro, blackpool, reading , hull, all still have to play each other so someone has to drop pts somewhere.

i do feel though that 3pts v brs city is a must, however it wont be easy.
