" I'M AM FIT AND WILL PLAY ANYWHERE "

Mon Mar 05, 2012 2:25 pm

Robert Earnshaw is fully fit and has said " I will play anywhere, please just play me. " :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Thats all I will say on the matter.

I really dont know why ?

We are desperate in the striker department, but maybe thats just me. :ayatollah:

Personally I don't think he brings enough to the table. His overall game isn't good enough to warrant a start, although stick him on the bench.

Just hope malky will listen and give him a game wednesday to prove hes still got the class we know him for :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

I will say that he gave us an absolute nightmare when he came on in the play off semi final at the liberty. Width of a post from taking it to extra time.

I heard Earnie and Malky had a big bust up with Earnie storming out :? :? ....don't shoot the messenger.

I like Earnie, he's a top man. :ayatollah: :ayatollah: .I think he'll be on his way out soon IMO...... :ayatollah:

Re: " I'M AM FIT AND WILL PLAY ANYWHERE "

Annis throughout his career Earnie have scored a goal every 174 minutes he is on the pitch, this season it's 159 minutes, but still people write him off.

Kenny Miller is over 250 minutes for every goal he has scored and if Earnie had been given the same playing time his record tells you he would have scored 15 goals by now. When Whitts shot came back off the post yesterday I thought I wonder if Earnie would have been there for the tap in. Hmmm

Earnie must be given his chance and whatever problem MM has with him he must forget it and give him a chance. In my opinion he will not let us down.

Right from the start Miller and Earnie never saw eye to eye, I know that much.

Gary, I am 100% with you, Miller has quality, gets in the right places, but only scores after at least 12 shots.

The problem for Earnie is now he would need at least 2 or 3 games to shine, so fans would have to be patient. £13,000 a week totally wasted.

Genuine question, who signed Earnshaw? Was it Mackay?

Re: " I'M AM FIT AND WILL PLAY ANYWHERE "

I think earnies performance against west brom showed that he deserves a chance at least
i dont think malky is the type of manager that would ignore a player if they had a bust up even if one did happen

Russell Annan Exactly. Y he still gets paid. Y aint malakey playing him. Even if he don't like him. Like they say no one is bigger than the club. And its in the clubs best intrest to play him. He's been in the premier clubs as well and has experience so wats malaks problem ??????

Leighton Coslett I think if he plays on a regular basis he is worth 20 goals a season the guy is a born poacher. You don't loose his ability over night the guy keeps himself fit. Hope Malky does not become blinkered like DJ was. And I am saying this as a DJ fan.

No, the current board had already agreed a deal, he is not Malky's signing.

Malky picks the side, and he spends all week preparing the team. Earnie isnt the player he used to be. But I do think yesterday was a chance for fresh legs in some areas. vukic, kiss, conway are all fresh :ayatollah:

I was told it was much the same problem at Derby where KM just had to turn up to get in the team, that season he scored 8 goals at an average of 1 every 322 minutes on the pitch. We are going the same way here.

That season Earnie was pretty much used as a sub and when he did get on he was asked to play wide left.

He absolutely must now be given a run in the team to get his match sharpness up,the goals will follow.

I don't think Earnie is the answer in the way Malky sets up his sides (no width) but with a miss firing Miller (keep the fecking ball down when shooting) I don't think we have much to loose by putting him on the bench to start, will put a bit of pressure on Miller who it seems is guarenteed his starting place under Malky

In that case, it's not really fair on either of them, as I mentioned, at the Liberty in the play offs, he gave us a nightmare in the last half hour, watching your game yesterday though, I can't see how he fits into your system.

An awkward situation for both the player and the manager, probably best to let him go and let Mackay build the squad that he wants. I know that he is an idol at Cardiff but these things happen. Why do football clubs boards interfere in the first place?

Earnie was offered out on loan, but no one can afford or is willing to pay his current wages.

Well who is to blame for that Milly ? Surely its not Earnies fault and Malky never agreed it, so who is to blame ?

Love Earnie but he has lost his pace so now he can't play off the shoulder of the last defender or run at the back 4 with any real pace however he is still a goal scorer and any thing breaking in the box he is likely to put away. The problem is we do not play with any width and therefore do not get to the byline where we can fire in the sort of crosses Earnie thrives on :( With the acquisition of Lawrence. I would love to see us set up 4 5 1 with Conway, Cowie, Gunnarson, Whitts and Lawrence with
either Miller or Mason playing the 1 Cowie and Gunnarson can hold midfield with Whitts playing more advanced and Lawrence and Conway providing the width.

Keeper Marshall and back 4 would be Super Kev or Darcy, Hudson, Turner and Taylor then on the bench Heaton, Darcy or Super Kev, Miller or Mason, Vuktic, Earnie and Mc Phail (If fit) or Ralls

Re: " I'M AM FIT AND WILL PLAY ANYWHERE "

In my opinion earnie isn't good enough to start games, especially upfront on his own.

However we should always have a striker or even two on the bench.

Re: " I'M AM FIT AND WILL PLAY ANYWHERE "

Mon Mar 05, 2012 3:25 pm

Just wondering what position everyone clamouring for Earnie to play would play him in?

With Lawrence signing that would move Mason back into the middle, Miller isn't having any luck in from of goal and Rudy is injured.

Just don't think he fits into the game plan but would welcome comments.

i just dont think he would fit in to our formation, or is even good enough any more

He is the best finisher at the club, FACT

but other than that, he's lost his biggest asset, his pace...
and although if a chance falls to him he will finish it 8 times out of 10, it would be like playing with 10 men for most of the game because he just doesnt offer anything else

and thats not the way Malky's teams play, he needs 100% effort and work rate from every player for his style to work

Re: " I'M AM FIT AND WILL PLAY ANYWHERE "

Mon Mar 05, 2012 3:34 pm

£13,000 a year = £656,000 a year to add to the debt!! Easy to see how we make a loss.

I'm guessing (do not know) the reason he is not on half of that salary is because we had him on a free so no transfer fees involved. If you could come and score a couple of important goals now then £656,000 for the him would seem like nothing!!

He should at least be given some sort of chance, if he has his chance and blows it then at least we tried something.

I suspect Malky is going all out to get the right striker in though.

Re: " I'M AM FIT AND WILL PLAY ANYWHERE "

Mon Mar 05, 2012 3:35 pm

Earnie will be of no use in the system that we currently use. Maybe he could have been on the bench but I still couldn't see him giving anything that we don't have. Vuckic & Mason can both play up front so it's not as if Miller was the only striker in the squad. For whatever reason Earnie is being overlooked, at the start of the season he bagged a couple of goals, he also stopped us scoring a number of goals because he's too selfish.

Annis, Seeing Earnie in the Wales game showed exactly why Malky is not playing him (I know he didn't get a lot of time on the pitch) but he got given the tainted armband. And what did he do.... Nothing. He made very little effort to pressurise their back 4, looked well off the pace of the game, and didn't read the game at all well in all honesty. Those are the three traits which made Earnie, Earnie. Now those have gone what's left?

Personally, I think you and other fans should stop holding on to what used to be and look forward, what are the options without Earnie, without Ninian Park, without Atmosphere etc... etc... :ayatollah:
