I agree. He's not playing and he scores at this level.
Gestede has the potential to be a great target man for someone like Kenny to play with, whereas Jay has already hit that much needed potential. Think of Jay as a better more all round version of Rudy.
Rest of season loan?

Well, since the eggers don't seem to be playing many games at CCS these days, we don't need him to use his arse as a heavy duty pitch roller.

Who's gonna pay his 25 large a week?

I backed him to come good for a long time but many on here told me constantly about his bad points & have to concede you were right.

Has the odd occasion when he looks good but all very few & far between.

Can't see him having a future under Mark Hughes at QPR & i would like to see the back of him. A move would do him well although I can't see him going back to Cardiff. Personal opinion.

We'll give you half :)

Re: jay bothroyd

The facts are that he's the best striker we'd have if he joined now and the second most creative player behind Whitts.

Remember when Carl said Jay's agent wanted him for 14k a week and he'd come back.

I'd go up to Loftus Road and drive him for that amount now, as I would have then.

No thanks, "He tries when he wants, he tries when he wants, Jay Bothroyd, He tries when he wants"

No respect for us, no respect for him.

Deal. If I inbox you my bank details could you get the Malaysians to pop the money in tomorrow morning? I'll sort the rest of the deal out.

Let's start with a month up front. :-)

We only sign men now, he's in the past with the rest of the bad ones we left go.

DO you mean the bad ones or the quality game-changer ones?

Re: jay bothroyd

IF he would listen to Malky, leave his ego outside the changing room and come and play 13 games like he did at start of last season then I would snap him up for remainder of season!

You could then have Lawrence and Conway wide to supply him with Cowie and Gunnarsson doing running allowing Whitts to play ?

Bear in mind I said IF

Re: jay bothroyd

Class act, top scorer for us, i'd have him back in an instant!!!

Re: jay bothroyd

Sun Mar 04, 2012 8:44 pm

Whether we liked him or not, he would score goals at this level easily, and thinking about it, this is his level.
I'd have him back, if he wanted to come back..... I got no gripe with him. Dave jones pissed off quite a few of our players - sure Malky could sort him out.

Jay Bothroyd is a wast :ayatollah: e of space pillock who threw his toys out of the pram because the City would not sanction a move to Fulham. And for nearly half a season he only put about 50% effort in at best. Never want him back never. I would rather Rudy on one fooking Leg :ayatollah:

Very few and far between it was with him although one of those occasions was against QPR. :D

I don't want him back, we are not good enough for him being in the cmahpionship.

Don't know what you watched, but I never seen one player change anything last season, if it was going wrong it stayed wrong
