" CARL CURTIS "

Mon Feb 27, 2012 2:37 pm

Thanks for yesterday, it takes a lot of organising 250 fans from this forum, plus a pub laid on for us, 9 mins from Wembley.
Also thanks to Carls helpers Steve Green/Premier 1(Andrew)/James Curtis/Cheggers. :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Great day and all got home.

Oh thanks Sam for coming to meet the 400 City fans who were in and outside our pub yesterday who chatted with you/sang your name and at least 150 had photos with you. Its funny the internet nerds slate him, easy to do it on the net, but not one person said a bad word to him yesterday in over 2 half hours. Our fans were from all over Wales/England/N.Ireland yesterday, no one new he was coming along. Sams first public appearance for 5 years and I was chuffed to see how so many fans showed Sam that he was the one who started our Dream. :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

I realise now, there is no point arguing with these people on the net. Yesterday showed that our fans are grateful for what Sam started, end off. :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

How did Sam enjoy the game?

I organise our 11 a side and 5 a side teams every week and that's bad enough! Organising 250 drunken City fans traveling across the country? That takes some bloody balls! :D :ayatollah:

I invited him, but he would not go and has his reasons, which I agree with. He has never missed a game on the radio/net since the day he left the Club. I just caught wait for everything to be sorted. He loves Malky and believes we were just missing that final bit of quality. He has loved this season. :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Gutted I couldn't go yesterday especially now I know Sam was about I would have loved to meet him. :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

You are entitled to your opinion on SH but hasn't anyone else the right to opinion?

Of course I think you and some of your friends opinion is clouded by your perceived personal friendship with the guy.

I don't see why you should label others who disagree with you as "nerds." Equally I find it childish to refer to you and your friends as "hooligans."

I'm a bit disappointed that after yesterdays performance you concentrate again on SH. Its akin to thanking Stefan Terlezki (someone who I knew) or Tony Clemo. Time to let it go and look forward to the future not keep harping on about the past.

I'm told freedom of speech (no matter how polite) will not be tolerated here......let's see.

Other people's opinion is that SH would gladly have seen us go to the wall......Id rather concentrate on the Malaysians and doing it the right way. My heroes are the ones who represent the club today not years ago.

I have a been a City fan for well over 50 years and I see no point in banging SH's drum years later.

One last thing Annis, I dont think anyone could question you as being a 100% committed City fan but you will never be taken seriously by 99% of City fans as even after yesterdays fantastic performance you have to drag up SH again.

Don't you ever feel you are being used? One of City's greatest moments and you are giving free publicity to a guy who would of seen us go to the wall.

To me the Malaysians must be shaking their heads in bewilderment.

You may look upon me as being a "nerd".....if that is the opposite of someone giving publicity to the shyster formally known as SH then so be it.

Couldn't agree more with this and 250 fans isn't really representative of the whole Cardiff community. Also labeling people with the tag 'nerds' just because they don't agree with the notion thst Sam was great for this club is pretty disrespectful considering they're loyal City fans. At the the end of the day it's all opinions.

250 fans were on coaches and over 150 were by car/train etc, no it doesn't represent every City fan, but after seeing all the attacks on Sam on MB's I realise that it is the same old made up names and who change them their names on them every now and again .

Thank you :ayatollah:
Without a doubt, like I said on another post this morning, probably one of greatest days ever. :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

I have posted this 3 times since last night.

In my 39 years of supporting City, that was probably my proudest moment,Its years since I have celebrated goals like I did yesterday, to me in my heart we won the cup. We nearly beat one of the greatest teams in football and in a major final at Wembley,we drew on the day and took them all the way, we gave everything. Our team worth about £4mill, theres £145 mill.
A day my wife/children and I will never forget. THANK YOU.
