I would of used Earnie as a super sub.

I trust his judgement. He obviously rates Mason and Gestede ahead of Earnie and its always going to be difficult for a 4th choice striker to get selected without injuries.

It is not so much the striker but the whole team are playing badly at the moment. Personally i dont think Earnie could change anything. Whitts is not the same player as earlier in the season. Turner is having a mare. Gerrard is having a mare. Super Kev is not playing well. IMO

Malky knows the squads/players abilities better than we do. I trust him.

Earnie is only one option. Mason and Gestede are a number of options with their versatility. Losing two subs spots has hurt certain players, but the manager has to maximise his bench and versatility wins IMO.

I don't doubt Earnie would have scored goals, but so will Mason, and he'll provide as well - would Earnie?

I do think he should be used more.
He isn't rated for whatever reason though so MM must get rid of him in the summer.

Yes, he can stop playing it safe from now on we are safe from relegation, he can go for it for the rest of the season and start playing two up front even away from home. Then he will need four strikers playing regularly.

I'm no expert, but personally I think Earnie would give his all as a sub to try and prove himself! At least he's not on Tevez's wages!!

Aston Martyn Williams As long as we finish in the top 10 at the end of the season,which we will,I think he has worked wonders.Dont understand why he isn't using earnie tho. He is a great super sub who could possibly change a game.

There are lots of options, but Earnie is the only PROVEN goal scoring option.

After the West Ham game Kenny has only scored one away goal, but does bring other into the game more than earnie. But the game is about scoring goals and old Earnie has a pretty good record at that.

Earnie deserves a crack IMO

He showed moments in the West Brom game but his link up play his very very poor.

The amount of times he trys to dummy the ball and make a run is utter poor.

We had a winning team with Conway and darcy Blake in the 1st 11, both playing well and then both Been dropped to the bench and we've dropped a few points since,

earnie couldnt play the role on his own that Miller does, and as a two they couldnt play together. Miller every time for me, if we need a change mason offers more, and rudy is a different option and game plan.

The guy scores goals everywhere.

He should be at the very least coming off the bench. I don't get it tbh.

I prefer Joe Mason over Ernie but what a plan B to have.

I believe to get the best out Earnie we would need to play him alongside Rudy. Lets try it, we will need to, have you seen how many games we have in March.

Re: earnie. He isn't being used because he isn't very good. We are all remembering earnie as he used to be for us. Dynamic, skillful, pacy with a vicious finish. From what I saw of earnshaw in the beginning of the season his touch is awful (ball seems to bounce of his shins when it comes to him it then runs too far in front of him and he can't control the ball like he used to. However he still has a good finish, but so does gestede, Mason and Miller.

I could be wrong, but I'm guessing this question has been asked due to our decline in form and standing in the league. So earnshaw won't offer anything different.

What will help is the Malaysians to realise we could be in the prem next season if they had given more to the transfer pot for us to bring in quality. I don't buy all this "yeah would have taken a cup final and top ten finish at the start of the season".

What we should be gutted with is we have been top 5 all season, knocking on the auto promotion door and we are not going to have much to show at the end. Think how much pressure will be on Malkay next year. He has over achieved for us this season, but next season people will be demanding promotion etc.

We should be thinking how close we have got to promotion this season with a wafer thin squad. If anything we should be asking this question of our owners.

it's definately personal guys,

lets be honest, we were 2-0 and and looking like we had no way back, mason and miller were limited we had nothing to lose bringing on earnshaw for the last half hour.

he scores goals, im not being funny but on his career record he's never averaged less than at least a goal in every three games,

and he almost scored against england, looked our most dangerous threat he also scored against a premier league side f.a cup.

how bad can he honestly be for us
