Out of 20 kids in Andover FC training last weekend there was 1 bluebird
Sadly there was a mixture of spurs, chelsea, man ure but no Liverpool. 1 other kid had a swindon top on. Sad really that of the kids in Tommy's team only him and his Swindon mate have ever been to watch their teams.

A couple of years ago that would have been the other way around and more of the liverpool, Annis I sent you a pm, did you get it.

Kid wear what their parents buy them. Plastic parents = plastic kids.
Either that, or they are just poseurs.

Good news! My football training last night in the Valleys (lots of plastic scousers), there were 7 wearing either City tops or shorts (I was one). Only 2 involving Liverpool. I took the liberty of counting. But only one of them was part of the shirt amnesty thing

annis when i raced in birmingham in 2009, i stayed in a travelodge that over looked a pile of pitches [like that gaol place] ... out of the 80 or so kids playing football , 1 had a celtic top on, about 3 in english shirts, about a dozen birmingham city shirts and all the rest in villa tops! ... why us fooking welsh are so plastic beats me!

In 20 years time, 9 out of every 20 kids in Liverpool will be wearing Cardiff tops!

As the great Johnny Owen said in his film b4 fa cup final-the plastics will never feel the highs because they've never felt the lows. My 14 year old and 8 year old have experienced the euphoria of fa cup semi and the low of the play off final. My 14 year old also witnessed us beat qpr at mill stad. They have both led their team out as well as mascots.
The plastics miss out in my opinion-how you can support a team that you have no emotional connection with is beyond me.

Ah...
But how many Egg shirts were on display?
Best result in eon's for the eggers so one could expect at least 15 egg shirts on display if the lefty (sorry BB) BBC are to be believed, it is the national sport after all

I think if were honest about it and did a straw poll of supporters who is your 2nd favourite team I would estimate out of the last home game prob around 5,000 would say Liverpool. Some lad near me remarked against Blackpool its a no lose situation for him at Wembley and he would quite like Liverpool to win something if we lost. Ha !! its gonna take years at the top flight to eradicate this mentality
Tue Feb 07, 2012 9:22 pm
The thing is if you go to most sport shops you can buy liverpool, man u, Chelsea, arsenal, kits. Sports direct stores in Cardiff for example you won't get a Cardiff kit.
Tue Feb 07, 2012 9:27 pm
same here mate, my little one will also be 2 at the end of march. i will show him the cardiff way and hope that he sticks to it.
as said above with the liverpool shirts etc... it is the parents who put the kids in the kits just like us with the city!

Liverpool, one of the biggest and most well known clubs in the world. (let alone Cardiff)
If anyone thinks we can go head to head with them, (even in our own back yard) is deluded!
To put this another way, when we have as many Cardiff fans in Liverpool schools as they do ours....then and only then can we match them.
We can but chip away though.

Infected by their plastic fathers who have no pride and no values.

that`s the big difference here in Cologne, you very rarely see people wearing another teams colours, unless your in one of the irish pubs then its all Liverpool or Man Utd.And you wouldnt call Cologne a succesful team lately even though theres over 50,000 every home game. (standing as well )

I live in Rumney
When I used to play football a few years ago everyone would be wearing Man Utd/Liverpool/Arsenal shirts and I'd be the only one wearing a Cardiff top. I think it's down to the parents though because I probably wouldn't be supporting Cardiff City or even like football if it wasn't for my dad taking me down Ninian Park.
