To add to this, Malky runs a tight ship, so idle gossip from ex-staff members and players currently out on loan has dried up. The "exclusives" seem to be weaker than gnat's piss nowadays. We really need to strengthen pretty sharpish, the signing of an inexperienced young kid and Elliott Parish hasn't exactly bolstered what is going to be a colossal push towards the promised land. I think Malky is inspirational, and have enjoyed watching City more than I have for many years, but hope and pray that the wheels don't start working loose in the next few months.

- As Annis says names have not gone out as a mark of respect to MM and the club.

We need more strength in depth, we almost need 2 quality players for every position, we can then rotate where necessary. The problem we have is a lot of the squad players are not quite there, and when you combine this with very little game time, we have a player brought in to the team who is off the pace and lacking match practice. Quinn is a perfect example of this. Onwards and upwards!

People seem to have short memories regarding what malky said back in july.
he stated that it would take three transfer windows for him to assemble a squad capable of challenging for the premiership.
there is nothing wrong with signing youngsters with potential and malky has not gone far wrong so far with the likes of mason, turner etc.
The other thing we have to realise is that whatever malky signs now he has to sign with a view to them being able to compete in the premiership should we get promoted in may.
January is also notourious for players being overpriced etc and malky has already stated he will not pay over the odds. He has his own valuation of what players are worth and wont go beyond that.
I would rather he did not sign anyone for the sake of appeasing impatient fans and get players in on loan who can go back to their parent clubs at the end of the season.
God forbid we sign another parkin or jay lloyd samuel just for the sake of it

so do you and deano think that if malky thinks noone is worth a maximum of 600k and brighton want 1million plus add ons that he should spend that money on noone or look elsewhere.
i personally hope he dosent spend that type of money on noone because have a look at his injury record its not great viewing

No I dont think he should buy anyone for more than they are worth.....I just have doubts about how serious we are about signing players. I don't think we'll be signing anyone today....I don't believe the money is there.

deano
the money that is available will cover signings or loans so if malky thinks there's no value in signing anyone permanently then he will wait for the loan window which will still mean paying out for wages and loan fee's.
malky and tg have said the money is available so you have to trust them as far as im concerned.
