I dislike Liverpool because I hated David Beckham when I was younger and because of that I always wanted Micheal Owen (my favourite footballer at the time) to smash loads passed him.

Then Beckham went to Real Madrid and Michael Owen followed him tainting Liverpool forever with the David Beckham brush by association.

Growing up in the 70s and going to school with all those Liverpool fans.

They robbed john toshak from us and his pairing with keegan was the begining of their dynasty.

If we'd kept toshak that year we would have got promoted.

I agree ---and I would rather have a football chat with a Jack who goes to support their own team than someone who 'pretends' to support Liverpool and parades around our streets like a complete knob in their LFC shirt!! - especially when they infect their children with the same fekin illness!! Beat them at Wembley and I will die a very very happy man!

I agree with Annis.

Growing up in the 70s and 80s, that's all you'd see - friends, classmates, all wearing Liverpool tops. Used to wind me up and I haven't improved with age.

Then it was Utd shirts, and latterly Chelsea. I hate these teams and their 'so called' fans more than anything. I would go as far as saying that I have much more respect for Swansea supporters who pay to watch their team, than any of these 'followers' of the top Prem teams.

I call them 'followers' because that's all they do, is follow other glory chasers. They are not fans, because a fan is short for 'fanatic'; if you were one if those, would you watch your team on TV in the pub every Sunday afternoon ? Hardly 'fans' are they ?

Which then brings me to 'supporters, and the only ones they support are the pub landlords !

We are making ground locally in South Wales as a club, but it's going to take time. I took one of my younger kids (age 5) to boys club football training a few weeks ago and he was the only one proudly wearing his full City kit out of 12 children. I can't remember the exact breakdown, but basically they were all wearing either Liverpool, Utd or Chelsea tops...just seems wrong to me.

I never hear or see Celtic singing it these days anyway. All they seem to sing nowadays is that bloody song that the jacks sing.

And 5 European Cups is a big deal, if you haven't noticed The most won by any British club.
