" I WILL SAY IT AGAIN "

Sat Jan 21, 2012 8:31 am

Malky is one of the best Cardiff City managers I have seen in the 39 years I have supported City, but if he does not have the tools to finish the job, then I honestly believe all the hard work he has put in may come to nothing come May. Malky needs at least 3 quality players now. We have already banked an extra £750,000 from the Carling Cup, which we never budgeted for, if we beat Palace, then at least £1 mill will come our way on top of the £750,000. I really hope our board are not waiting on this.

I agree, that in August I said I would be happy with a top 10 place or even mid-table, but we have been up near the top all season now, so why waste an opportunity, if Malky was able to strengthen, I am pretty sure he would take us up this season.
Our players of late, have looked tired in my opinion and a few fresh faces are needed. We have loaned out up to 7 players this season saving hundreds of thousands of £'s.

Our fans have shown their support by buying season tickets, 18,600 in total making us a top 3 club in this division with sales.

So back Malky now and dont waste an amazing opportunity, the division is there for the taking.

Agree with what your saying but how many times have u said it!!
And that ain't a dig mate it's just as though they're not listening to u or anyone that has said it!
I'm sure they frequent this MB and even if they don't they must realise that we need to strengthen!

TIME IS RUNNING OUT!!!!!!!!

I'm sure MM Has made them aware but when will they dig deep for him?

Ten days, that's all they've got

Totally agree Annis...i genuinely feel we're on the cusp of something here. Malky's comments on any potential signings in this window are getting more positive in my opinion, if we get Mackie and another then Malky wouldve pulled a blinder, which then makes us serious contenders for automatic (if we're not already) :ayatollah:

As well as that Malky has shown what he had do to transform a club and motivate the players, what motivation will he have to stay at our club if a premier league opportunity presents itself to him.....

How do we know its not Malky waiting and the board have backed him? Everyone keeps saying he needs to backed, perhaps he has and its his choice not to spend it YET.

Craig,

On 4 different occasions in the last 2 months, Malky has gone public and said this squad needs strengthening if we want promotion.

My thoughts exactly!

Malky has always said any business he does will be in the last week of window....

Adam Soper Squads getting tired Jamiie, give the way they play it is no surprise. We need players now.
Annis, they know they need to back Malky. However, they are far too casual about it : they will have left it too late. It is hard enough to buy in January; even more so when the owners leave it too late.

Kevin Powell It's no coincidence that the top two either have money to spend or big enough squads to rest vital players. Good post btw.

In Malkay we trust, if the board trust Malkay, then give him the right tools for the right job.

Yeah he has done that Annis, but has hasn't actually said he needs it but hasn't, and in that Malaysian interview he said 'we are in the market for a striker and a winger' reading between the lines that could be more positive.

I agree with you Annis, but we don't know for sure what Craig is saying is not something to consider, Carl himself said ' business would be done ink the later stages of the window'

I hope, I pray he was right

Another point tho, if MM does get given a budget this window and is able to strengthen, plus the fact they have brought in a director to sort out the historical debts, it's a massive hats off to the board.

Didn't I read here your backers are putting over 500k a month into the club?

Surely the priority is to get the club financially stable?

£1.2 mill a month, but our ground is covered in adverts from them, our shirts are plastered in Malaysia and many of our club staff are out in Malaysia helping them included in that.
Malky needs backing as well. :ayatollah:

You could well be right. Malky and his team have a very robust set of criteria which has to be satisfied before he moves for a player and he does not like paying over the odds. I think he will get in one or two quality players (maybe on loan) and that could make all the difference to us.

Craig,

If we are to believe Malky on that point Annis, surely we have to believe him when he has said publicly and again on several occasions that there is money to spend.

If there is no money i would prefer the board to say so, rather than lead us on....i guess we find out for sure in a weeks time.

Annis you say that we will get an extra million on top of the 750000 we have already if we beat palace, but where will this money come from, i hope you are right because we need at least two players to freshen us up, but the winners of the cup only get 100000 runners up 50000 i might be wrong here but i think wembley plc keep all the gate receits ,i think we might sell more season tickets for next year and sell a few more merchandise but thats it, like i said hope im wrong and that extra million will be there

I hate to say it but I have a feeling Whittingham is going to WBA and you will get your 3 players.

My mate is a Baggies fan and he's convinced this is going to happen this coming week.

No chance, Whitts Mrs doesn't want to move, he's quite happy here......Whitts i believe is one of the few footballers where football isn't the be all and end all.....infact i think he sees it more as a job, if i'm right i think he's quite the musician.

Annis,as i said previously,Malky is one of the most brilliant man managers i've come across in my life, and i don't mean just in sport. If he is not backed after doing such a wonderful job then he will be eventually poached by a premiership team because that is where he will eventually be.

To be honest I think the same, it dont matter who you have as a boss even the best boss tools in his box to do the job.
The only tools a coach needs is Money to freshen up his tool box.

I understand that the Big bosses give load of money to DJ and then got there Ass bitten, but here we have a guy that has passion , that much passion thats its spilt over into the whole team, even the trainers is working flat out and our fittness is right up there. But as we all know fittness has its highs & Lows and the body can only give so much.

This is the best load of players in tearms of the way they play for each other, than we have had for many years.
Third in the table all they need is a helping hand from the money guys and they & Malky will deliver us to the promise land. :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Tv,merchandise, shirts etc, ticket sales and so on, you would be shocked how much extra revenue Wembley would generate. :ayatollah: :ayatollah:
