What an insensitive prick you are? It's is comments like this that deserve your banning, why some people want you idiots on this fourm is beyond me.
A dog, is not just a tool, when you spend that much time with them, they become soul mates to some.
Annis is a dog lover too, and I know he will totally disagree with your comment as well.

That soldier (who is french by the looks of it) should not have had that photo taken it makes him & and his army look weak....he can grief privately the same as the rest of us do....
The Taliban...etc love images like that and it makes them stronger and makes them think they are winning .. why do you think when one of our lads die out there the first thing the family say with a brave face on is "he loved his job and we are very proud of him " and rightly so
Just a thought like..

i take it you dont have pets then
ever felt the loss of a pet its upsetting its your companion your friend
Now i dont know how it works in the french army (if he is french i dont know) but in our Armed Forces dog handlers dont just check out a dog when they go to work, they are teamed up with one dog and thats the dog they will work with for years, so a strong bond is created between dog and handler like a pet and its owner, so yes its upsetting when these animals die
plus it stresses the importance that its not only men and women risking their lives in war zones but animals aswell

Yes I have lost a pet and been man enough to take it to the vet towards the end of his days have it put to sleep and bury the dog myself....I cried like a baby by doing so aswell...
BUT I'm not highly trained soldier of war
AND I grieved in private and didn't take photos of my dead animal
Like I said these mentalists over in Afghanistan....etc love seeing things like this
