There are more Welsh speakers in Cardiff than Wrexham. It's is a moot point though really as Wrexham fans sing MOH in English. We of course can't even manage that.

It's not laziness, they just feel embarrassed to learn words and sing, as if somehow making a bit of effort makes you soft or something. Going round the country you still hear some great football songs, but it's getting steadily worse, everyone sings the same songs witht the words changed for their team. If I hear the "we follow" song again I'm going to f*cking cry.

Took me roughly 20 minutes to learn the words - much better than going na na na na na nah!!! :old: :old:

WE (Cardiff) live about 159 miles away from Harlech ?
Its need a re-write with a Cardiff slant on it and more relevance to us IMO

Its on all the time, Also dont expect many people in Westham blow bubbles all the time , but they sing about it. and its there song ! every one know when they sing it who it is.

It was just a theory but how many youngsters would be interested in watching an old film like?
Need to move with the times thats all I'm suggesting as cleary this is an ongoing debate which I do agree with but its the masses who are not joining in which makes it futile. If they cant join in with Barmy Army I cant see them singing verse for verse Men of Harlech there's alot to learn!

Men of Harlech stop your dreaming
Can't you see their spear points gleaming
See their warrior pennants streaming
To this battlefield
Men of Harlech stand ye steady
It cannot be ever said ye
For the battle were not ready
Stand and never yield
From the hills rebounding
Let this song be sounding
Summon all at Cambria's call
The mighty force surrounding
Men of Harlech on to glory
This will ever be your story
Keep these burning words before ye
Welshmen will not yield

Club should print a load of song sheets for this and put them under seats for a few games. As soon as a few start learning/singing it it'll give the rest a kick up the ass to learn the words too. Worth a try anyway.

Anyone know which version of Men of Harlech is played before kick off?

I'd like to find and download the mp3 to help me learn it, but there are many versions of it in welsh and english, and sung by many different choirs.
