" DRUM Canton This Saturday "

Base Drum on order hopefully arriving this Friday!!! Anyone out there who plays brass instruments and is interested in joining in up on the band platform give me a ring on 07814 779441! also any drummers snare or Bass drummers who would like to have a go in the future give us a call.

We intend giving it a go for a run of games as many supporters voted for it on a survey last season. If its successful the band will become a permanent feature we have many ideas for the band if its a success!

Is there a microphone on the stand to pick up the drum sound?

If so, could an extra microsphone be pointed downwards towards the fans to amplify their singing and chants. This will encourage fans around the ground to join in as they will hear whats being sung and will create a good atmosphere.

People complaining about the drum are the same people who were asking for something to be done about poor atmosphere - look forward to seeing a brilliant atmosphere on saturday! WHO THE F**K ARE POMPEY?

I love the drum, but ive got one complaint and one complaint only;
A brass band would be slightly over the top IMO, a drum is enough.

Also, will the drum be out on tuesday Vince?

I was not on about hearing the drum. I was wondering whether a sound system was in place which could be utilised to have the Cantons fans chants heard clearly around the gound.

Im in the family stand, right next to the away fans and i dont hear much coming from that section.

I like the drum generates atmosphere.
One question will they be taking any requests.

Perhaps a microphone on the advertising boards at the front? Singing is generally louder at the back so if theres a microphone at the back it will probably mess us some speakers. If its down the front it will just catch the singing and wont be too loud, sounds more realistic to the grange end then

The drum was bad enough never mind a whole brass band, it's a pile of crap and will make us a laughing stock.
