I honestly believe for us to to make top 2 come May, at least 3 or even 4 more quality players are needed and at least 5 of our current players shipped out. We need these players now and I strongly feel Malky feels the same.

To make top 6 come May we need at least 2 quality players now and still ship about 5 of the current players out.


I have said it before give Malky the tools and Malky will deliver.

I think we'll be in top 6 with or without new signings!1 or 2 new quality signing would be nice tho

We certainly need to ship out the dead wood, they wont play and on good wages.

I think we need 2 players myself a wide player and a striker.

But then it depends who does, if earnie goes we need 2 strikers

If the malaysians dont spend millions,that mean they dont want to go up?
Not so long ago most fans on here wanted stability.They spent millions last season and wheredid it get us?

Problem is that 4-5 good quality players in Jan will cost good money, very good money.

IMO those 3 can now go even if we didnt sign anyone in return, they are just not needed.

A season is a long hard battle. We have been lucky so far but our luck is surely going to run out ???
Injuries/suspensions ? I think we're fooked when they kick in.
Malky says Carling Cup was great for extra games to help players work together , BUT will it take it's toll on league form ???

When MM was at watford , they were doing well . But didn't strengthen in January and fell away . MM wasn't happy with that and said that was one of the reasons he.left (no ambition) . So hopefully he won't stand for it this season of our board and he's been promised funds . I think we will have one or two new faces next week and another before the window closes .

A question, we can't expect the Malaysians to keep investing in players every window.

Would you be happy if they said here is 4m for jan and you can use up the remaining wage budget but come the end of the season we can't have any players in, not even frees?

To me 4m in jan would get 4 average to good players
4m in the summer would totally revamp the entire squad with quality throughout.

Who was it who said you can do a lot of damage in this League with £3m in the January transfer window? It was DJ when he was getting excited about having the golden ticket scam money and in fairness he had a point.

A few years ago Newcastle spent a few million on Best, Williamson and Routledge and got promoted but in reality they were well on the way. QPR last season got a few loan players in, Routledge being one and got promoted.

Thanks to MM management we are in a great position and I'm beginning to believe even a top two place is possible and if he is given £1-2m i think he will get us into the top two.

But even if he isn't I think he will get us into the playoffs, DJ did it a few years back and that for me was his biggest achievement at the club. If DJ done it under the pressure the club was under at that time then MM will deliver the playoffs this season.

At the start of the season how many of us would have taken the playoffs? Whatever happens expect another big turnover within the squad this summer with many new players being Bosmans, but which players will depend on the outcome of this seasons promotion push.

I think it's going to be a memorable season with or withour spending money.

There are plenty of quality players willing to go on loan in the premiership, and if that's the route we have to go down so be it! We need the 2 players at least and if it means we can spend actual transfer fees in the summer then we should loan in January... Just a matter of waiting for the premiership clubs to purchase and evaluate who they aren't going to use!

I think we only need a genuine championship striker. Miller plays the deeper link role well, Mason isn't a championship out and out striker and is good cover for Kenny. Rudy is all potential, and I still don't know what we have got. Looks like Parkin and Earnie (why didn't he get 20mins last night) are off.

We have played all season without pace and width, and are breathing down automatic places,

If we get a winger, who do we sacrifice?

Whitts, Cowie, Gunnerson,Kiss, Mc Phail, Ralls all play quite narrow, it would be quite unbalanced.

I think we have cover at fullbacks (who provide the width) in Blake and Quinn and we are collecting centre-backs and goalies

I have always held a theory that players straight from the SPL take a while to acclimatise , so I have not lost hope on Conway.

Ched Evans or Maynard (i doubt we could afford him) would do for me. The kid from Barnsley looked useful.

Dunno why, but i think we are going up this year.

Will settle for doing it at Wembley but am convinced we will be top two.
