" ANY COMMENTS REGARDING TICKET SALES ? "

Wed Jan 04, 2012 10:09 pm

From Carls update
The very latest and most up to date ticket sales for our upcoming games are :

West Brom Away – 1,334
Palace Away – 2,361
Doncaster Away – 379

For the Crystal Palace home fixture the Eagles have sold approximately 3,000 tickets and we have sold 12,645 to date, this includes the Palace fans.

Will our fans only buy them if we do well in the away leg first ?
Or is it because theres 19 days to go ?
ANY COMMENTS PLEASE ?

i think there will be a lot more for the palace home game in the cup, Maybe west brom is a game too far considering its just after chrismtas and the palace game is on the tuesday.

I thought the WBA ticket sales was excellent so far. :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Still stunned by the Palace home and away ticket sales.

ANNIS. sadly with Christmas. a glut of away games together with the Palace home game is making it difficult for the family man or woman. I'm having to choose which away games i go to this month. in fact i've chosen Donny over West Brom but am going to Palace.

Re: " ANY COMMENTS REGARDING TICKET SALES ? "

To be honest i think it's the cost especially just after Christmas and with Palace insisting on full prices for the Carling Cup game i have just spent over £60 for Palace away and another £63.50 for Palace home tickets. In order to afford this i had to forgo Forest and West Brom games :(

Re: " ANY COMMENTS REGARDING TICKET SALES ? "

I think the away attendances are ok.

Palace away is on tele and it's going to costs a minimum of £55 per person and that's if they drink and eat nothing all day, it would easily cost me £90+ and it's on sky. It's just after x-mas and I've already paid for my palace home ticket, it's just impossible to pay for everything.

Home game tickets will pick up the week before the game, some people will await the first leg result but unless they trash us I can't see that having a massive effect.

Mostly about timing

Palace home Shocking :( if we dont sell out for a chance to go to wembley shame on you, we all know if it had been man utd it would of been sold out by now. I'm sure the season ticket holders that dont buy a ticket for the 2nd leg will all want their cup final tickets . I can understand the away leg not going with the price, i will be there home and away, come on BLOOOOBIRDS buy those tickets :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

the palace home game will be mostly die hard fans!!!

gurantee you that if we win on tuesday night there will be mad rush for home tickets due to people wanting the 'watch palace at home and if we make it to wembley gurantee your seat at our second home'

It's around 15,650 in total apparently - the 12,645 or so is only the home sales according to Vince. So given the game is 20 days away, I'm quite impressed with that. Lot's of people I know haven't bought yet.

Palace have sold more away tickets, but that's expected with the second leg I think, especially when you consider the additional ticket costs.

Nothing will be decided in the first leg IMO, so the argument that people are waiting to see what happens with first leg doesn't wash with me. A lot of people I know are waiting to get paid, has nothing to do with the first leg.

I've applied for the day off work (I'll be finishing at 8.40pm if I have to work) for the home leg, if granted I'll be there. :ayatollah:

Can't agree with that.

If we get a reasonable result in the first leg the second leg will sell out almost straight away. However, if we lose 5-0 at Selhurst Park then I would imagine that the take up for the second leg will be poor, whether you get paid inbetween or not.

Whats the chances of us getting dumped five nil?! Given the way the team are playing and the form we are in then id suggest very few are even considering that we could get demolished in the first leg.

There are in the region of 7,000 to 8,000 home tickets left available in the main bowl, for a game thats 19 days away. Really dont see the problem.

I'd be in a similar position to this for the Palace game. Both me and the missus get paid on the 20th - so we are flat out broke at the moment.

Luckily enough, my dad bought me my ticket before the 31st of December cut off for Season Ticket holders and I'll pay him back on the night.

I think a lot of people are going to buying their tickets close to the game. My cousin doesn't get paid for 6 weeks over Christmas, as they move pay dates forward and my dad had to do him a favour too. Most people won't be as lucky as us though and will have to wait for their tickets!

If we get to the final, will people be waiting til they get paid to buy tickets, they would get hold the money straight away, really should b sold out for both games, 1st time since 1966 that we got this far. Always the way! Come on bluebirds! :ayatollah:

Always remember there will be a pretty big walk-up crowd. 3,000 for Burnley and roughly the same for Blackburn. Couple of my mates who didn't get tickets with me are getting theirs on the day.
P.S When will the tickets be sent out? :ayatollah:

I'm surprised at how low the Palace away sales are, however its next to impossible for families and people who work will have to take a day off. I can't see us selling a whole lot more now, so we'll be taking less than 3000.

Its an expensive trip at a time when there are many other away games on. 2 over Xmas and West Brom this Sat and Donny next Sat.

An example is our bus, we've got far more going to Donny than Palace. In fact the Palace bus is only half full.

On the other hand I'm amazed at so many going to West Brom. Although its one of my favourite grounds, its a nothing game when both will be putting weakened temas out. Donny (where I reckon we'll sell 600 at least) and Palace are far more important.

In terms of the Palace home game, lots of my mates haven't got theirs yet and are waiting to see how it goes in the first leg. I'm confident we'll sell out.

Tim, we virtually agree with each other on this.
I really hope we sell more for Palace away.

I remember many fans saying why give palace 4,000 ? we should have more than them. Well it looks like Palace will sell out home and away.

If i could go to the palace game i would as i've never seen us in a League Cup semi (in fact this seasons 4th round tie at home to Burnley was the furthest i've seen us get in years). Unfortunately my wife works Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings which means i'd have to leave my 13 year old daughter in charge of Sam (19 months) as my 2 boys would insist on coming.

The fact that the game is on TV is another factor in many people's thinking. I'm sure though if the scores are level next week or there is a goal in it then the CCS will be full on the 24th.

If we beat Palace there will be 35,000 wanting tickets for the final. If it was Liverpool or Man City, we'd be taking 6-7000.

We can make up all the excuses we want, but the above is fact.

Waiting to see the first leg score before buying tickets? I thought you were meant to support through thick and thin? I appreciate people have work, family, time of year etc, it affects us all but none of it would have mattered had we picked either of the other two in the semi final so in reality it doesn't wash.

If we get to the final 60,000 lifelong bluebirds will want tickets like 03 play off final, fa cup final etc....

Where were the lifelong fans during days of durban, hibbitt and osman?

I find it strange that we could take 800 to oxford in round 1 yet cant take 4 times more for a semi.
