For someone who is in the canton every week, the drum defo helped the atmosphere.
I wasnt a fan of the idea of drums. but it got everyone going.

Sitting at the opposite end I thought the drums were good....could fefinitely hear them, and if they didnt sound like drums - what did they sound like ? I thought it was only 1 drum.

Definitely added to the atmosphere. Nice te hear something different.....

Super Kev has now become Super Ken... !!

Some humour today too....

The Ninian Stand's .."One Boot - he's only got One Boot....".....was brill and very quick.

and the "Hand Ball" panto challenge with the Reading fans was entertaining.

How come they are allowed to stand in what looked a fairly unsafe area and others can't in a seated area?

Re: Drums ?

Mon Jan 02, 2012 6:07 pm

was a great idea but two things

- need a bigger drum
- need a new drummer  already

definitely a plus today

Why not add a piano and other insturments. We might as well have an orchestera.

Re: Drums ?

I don't really wanna go to the CCS if people use horns or drums.

Re: Drums ?

Never been a fan of drums at a football match, but must admit that it did help the atmosphere today!

Re: Drums ?

Mon Jan 02, 2012 6:23 pm

It did my head in but really got the singing going fair dos. I expeceted it to be pretty quiet today.

It probably helped that we were 3 up after 40 minutes. I fear for his safety if we are ever 3 down and he starts banging that drum!!!

Well I thought it was ok, It makes me laugh that people go on and on and on about doing something ,then someone does something and you still go on about it. If half you lazy fkers would learn the words to songs then it may help also. Till then dont knock someone for having a go and doing there best. :old:

My thought exactly, Barmy Army was much better not on a par with Ninian Park, but its a start.

Thought the drum helped the atmosphere and really got it going. Personally I hope the drum is there for every home match going forward it will only help get the fans going. The club should be applauded for allowing the passionate fans to stand there and make some NOISE :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: By the way what a great result and a fantastic performance by the whole team, I think it put down a marker to the rest of the division as to how good we are. The owners should really now sit up and take notice of the excellent job Malky and the team are doing and back him with a couple of players who Malky wants. 2 points off the top now let's go and chase them down and take the top spot :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

What he said. Really improved atmosphere. Not just the drummer but the guys starting the songs. Hats of to whoever suggested it.
