its actually a british brand beleive it or not!
As much as in my youth Armani, Aquascutum,Stone island, cp company, Henri lloyd etc were the in brands.......Superdry is the in brand of the youth of today.....and the fact its a british brand its good thing.
But i do see where people are coming from as its become too recognizable and everybody has it..............Much like how burberry went

Seeing a lot of Barbour jackets around too.
I always thought Barbour was a poor mans Belstaff, used to be able to pick Barbour jackets up dirt cheap in TK Maxx...

for a barbour you are looking at starting prices around 80quid for the quilted jackets up to low £100s. for an barbour international can be anything up to about 300 quid...
belstaff jackets are from 400 quid up to a grand for some .... abit out of most peoples reach... so your prob right, barbour is an cheaper alternative however a different style .. the quilted jacket was quite popular over the last yr or so..

Since Barbour had a rebrand around 4 years agoi I think they closed the gap on Belstaff

CP Company Mille Miglia with vulcanised rubber hood. Very rare, made for one season in 2002 still looks the mutts nuts.

Very good post.
Of course there are particular styles of Barbours that are very common in what could be considered 'mainstream' fashion, however Barbour produce such a wide variety of jacket that it is quite easy for someone to get hold of one of the styles that isn't 'en vogue' at the moment.
As for myself, I do have a fondness for good old fred perry

Interesting stuff about Barbour, but they are very good jackets, & very stylish too. I have a couple of them, all made in the UK as well.
I visited their factory shop at Bede, just outside Newcastle last year, brilliant.

Barbour jackets are very good quality.
They've done a lot to rebrand themselves and their style.
10 years ago and the only Barbour jackets you could get were check lined, corderoy collared, wax coated farmer style jackets.
Some of the new ones are pretty smart.
Barbour was definitely the busiest area of the menswear section in John Lewis during the sales.

Yes Rick, well put there. They are one of the only brands where you actually feel the company deserves the amount of money you have paid for the garment.

Dont own a Super Dry jacket. Weekend Offender is my favourite brand at the moment. Love their T's and have some wicked hoodies and jackets. Also liking a lot of Penguin stuff at the moment.

I love their jackets, but everytime I see a Hoody or T-Shirt of there's - the print is all faded and cracked.
That's an easy fault to fix in this day and age, so they've always made me wonder about the quality of their clothing.
