A forum for all things Cardiff City

I have heard of celebrity's having stores closed for them to shop in peace before, I know that Michael Jackson had Hamleys and Harrods opened at midnight on a few occasions whilst visiting the UK but yesterday the WAGS of Swansea City players had Flannels, Churchill Way off Queen St in Cardiff closed for a whole hour for them to spend their money in the store.
Is it because they are WAGS of a Premiership team or is it that there no stores in Swansea where they can spend their new found wealth?
I didn't think that WAGS of Swansea City players were that A-List to be honest.
I heard that Nathan Dyer's WAG bought him his own handbag
Tue Dec 13, 2011 8:20 pm
I heard Nathan Dyer robbed one (again). Hopefully it was from the horrible Italian twats in Flannels.
Tue Dec 13, 2011 8:22 pm
Well their money is as good as anyones, I suppose, going back into our City.
Also some big names there, isn't Sinclair shagging Rosie Webster
I won't be happy if i see that tosspot Tate wearing the same T-shirt as me though.
Probably unlikely he'll be getting anything as we were talking about wives and girlfriends buying for their men..

I thought Jack birds are more Florence & Fred than Flannels. Flannels is a nice shop with nice clothes but as the old saying goes you can put a ribbon around a turd but at the end of the day it is still a turd....

Maybe it's because you need all the money you can get
Skint club, still in the championship after years of trying
paying ex managers huge amounts of money Still.
Think about it you lot should be on your knees thanking the wags.

On the other hand maybe it makes no difference to us, as footy fans, but might have pissed off the hard-working and hard-pushed shopkeepers of Swansea.
As for skint club, maybe you need to move on a bit.

He's like a f*cking tiger, clocks you as soon as you walk in, then bang he's there!
Tue Dec 13, 2011 9:43 pm
surely no-one with money would want to spend it in that stinking, smackhead infested slum they call swansea.
Tue Dec 13, 2011 9:48 pm
they wouldnt want to be seen in swansea!! i heard they even watch/listen to the games from the hotels in cardiff!!
lets face it! if you had a choice of holiday between barbados or bognor which would you choose??

same thing really!
Tue Dec 13, 2011 10:19 pm
Pretty sure Swansea used to have a Woodies Emporium as did Brizzle?? Havent been down there shopping for years but I'd imagine the pull of Cardiff retail wise would give us more 'top end' clothing stores than our second city.
Cardiff isn't the best but its like comparing London to Birmingham.
I don't know what you're getting at but your average WAG isnt short of a bob or two, so who cares where they spend their cash? Cardiff can only benefit from our cousin's premiership wages!!!

The difference is peg boy we are paying them, now we could always take the easy way out and go into admin, leaving all our creditors high and dry, does this sound familiar???? if cardiff city needed any financial advise/help then 40 miles west of us in the arse end of south wales would be the last place we would look, how,s mr petty doing these days?????

Your missing the point.
you live in a f*cking shit-tip
The only sort of celebrity Swansea would attract is a Pete Doherty type
ball-bag. And we all know why.
Dont we!

He plays on the left, he plays on the riiiight, Nathan Dyer, steals handbags at night
Tue Dec 13, 2011 10:54 pm
Surely it's Cardiff because all the Swansea shops know by now that the cheques will bounce?

Tue Dec 13, 2011 11:09 pm

Tue Dec 13, 2011 11:15 pm

Yeah your right we all wanna live in your shithole of a town. Looks a shocking place the centre of Swansea these days no wonder the wags don't shop there, who would? No wonder other prem clubs dont stay there or their fans even.
Cardiff hotels doing well and will do even better when we do eventually swap places, which we will.

Your right. There are Cardiff areas that are shitholes, the key word here is AREA's not the whole CITY!!
