Over reaction by the police and if the fan had been a member of the public in a street asking the same question, he would of had a civilised answer. They never all attacked the police, 70,they mean 6 or 8 fans get annoyed, what a joke, most fans fell down the stairs.

I never thought they had any lads.

Been there 8 times, never any trouble there.

Typical police causing trouble.
No need for it, they created that situation.

True, the police usually dont even bother us when we go there, one of the only places they dont. :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Wasnt Coventry a police free game for us last season?

Re: Coventry fans kicking off yesterday..

Sun Dec 11, 2011 10:34 pm

That bloke says he was remonstrating with the Police for not wearing any badge number. And plenty in that video was definitely not wearing badge numbers which is an offence. Then those jerks of stewards that was trying to take a banner away :o they were grappling with the fans and they aint allowed to do that. A situation was getting out of control and that was down to the little Hitlers they call the new breed of Steward, protected by there CCTV. Pathetic !!

coppers get shoved away by supporters coming to the aid of a fellow fan. i remember days like that with cardiff...
these days at cardiff half the supporters there would help the police , give your seat number or name to them and write a 7 page complaint to the club

how have you turned a police screw up into a gripe at stewards all i saw in that situation was police causing a riot then hiding behind a line of stewards.
With regards to the banner the article says the police tried to arrest him so that means something was on that banner that meant he could have been arrested and yes there were stewards involved and if an ejection is necessary we are allowed to use reasonable force, i didnt see a steward throw a punch so its hardly grappling.
Im not sure what your issue with stewards are to be honest.

Watch again Jonny they were trying to grab that Banner by force. Was it a situation where public safety was an issue ? No it wasn't. That situation could of resulted in it getting totally out of hand resulting in People getting hurt.Grabbing someone by the neck :o Excuse me who the f**k do you lot think you are. One of you is gonna get really hurt one Day trying to be the big i am .
The problem i have with Stewards is they are wanna be Policemen, who for some strange reason think they have the same powers as the old bill. Admittedly not all Stewards are like that but its getting a problem.

well ive watched it again i dont see any steward grabbing anyone around the neck, i see a police officer with his hand around a fans neck.
i dont know what it says on the banner (neither do you) but if its something the clubs owners dont like its allowed to be removed
and as for your reasons for not liking stewards
1 i dont want to be a police officer (im actually trying to rejoin the navy)
2 i know i havent got the same powers as police officers but i have some and i know how and when to use them
3 well if you think all stewards arent the same why treat us all the same
as for who do i think i am, im a steward who works at cardiff city, i dont threaten you so please dont threaten my with violence, i havent been seriously hurt so far at both our stadiums and several away trips, i hope thats because of the good job i do not because im afraid to get my feet wet when there is trouble in the ground

Hate how the old bill get away with everything. It kicked off because the guy was asking a reasonable question, though not in a reasonable by thge sounds of it but thats not the point. It mentions in the article how it's an offence for a police officer not to wear their numbers but no where does it say that the officer didnt get punished for it. Winds me up!

It is the police grabbing him around the neck, not a steward, but why is there any need for it ?

After watching that, so it was a protest against their Board.

Police started it and later on the Stewards start it up again over a banner. Hmm.

often seen that with city over the year in the days of packed terraces etc, stewards old bill tried to drag our lads out but couldnt due to the density of numbers :ayatollah:
