" SNIFFER DOGS AT CCS "

Sun Dec 04, 2011 7:34 pm

Today some of you may have noticed that there was a police sniffer dog being used, the reason for this is because of recent flares entering the stadium.

The dog was used first in the away end and a few Birmingham fans were caught with drugs.

The dog was then used in and around both the Ninian and Canton stands, as I say the reason was to prevent flares being taken in and there will be a feature/advert in the next matchday programme warning fans of what the club is doing.

You have been warned, leave the flares, Semtex and drugs at home and come to the ground clean if you wish to see the game.

Fair point made by the club Carl, it's great when Flares are let off as it adds to the atmosphere - but at the moment my son is too young to go to games, I wouldn't be too impressed if someone let one off around us when I start to take him.

Can't fault the club on this one!

So football fans are junkies now?

Would they check you for drugs going into a rugby match?

Flares are dangerous. Remember an elderly gent being killed by one at the end of the Wales v Romania game. Not clever.

Re: " SNIFFER DOGS AT CCS "

Sun Dec 04, 2011 11:28 pm

Half the reason i stopped going to most away matches was the old bill and the search, treatment and difficulty just being able to travel somewhere, have a beer and some grub and go to a game.
I wont be able to stand it if they do it at home as well.

I dont smoke or anything, but the can't do brigade and police are so stiffling its destroying peoples basic freedom.
Whats really wrong with a joint? (no answer needed - my family has had cancer deaths not smoking related plus my sister is bonkers without ever having smoked a spliff!!!)

Will they start persecuting us if we eat too much or too little in the future????

How can they pick up hooligans months later with 'camera evidence' yet have to mob up with loads of old bill and dogs for flares?

I get camera'd on the motorway to work, have to clock and get camera 'd and monitored in work, then pubs can have police turning up on occasion and then at the football. Plus in the streets and shops there cameras everywhere.

I think big brother should FCUK OFF - THEY DO MY TWATING HEAD IN

What do they want in the stadium??? Will they be pleased when our STs drop next season cos the experience of going to CCS is shite.
The atmosphere is shit as it is - if you make it expensive and hard to get in plus throw people out when their in there (it does happen -I saw 4 port talbot boys get thrown out at forest game for bantering when we scored with their mate whos a forest fan in the away end).

is it just me that finds all this oppressive??????? :old:

Nothing new about getting searched. Always happened. Why are people so precious these days? Used to be a bit of a 'badge of honour'.

Besides, it stops at a certain point. Can well remember the first time I did NOT get searched. Away to Newport County at Somerton Park, div 4, late 80s. Bit of congestion at the away turnstiles, all the young lads were being thoroughly searched, but a copper told me 'go through sir'. That's when I realised that my youth had gone! :old:
