" SUPERB/AMAZING NIGHT "

Cardiff City 2 Blackburn 0, Out classed them :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

But now the problems arise, first it does wind me up now that the semi-final home and away will both be sell outs and my phone/facebook/emails will be non stop, asking can you get me a ticket, can I f**k.

The away teams get 15% of the capacity, now work that one out and where are some of our fans in the Ninian Stand going to go ?
I worked it out the away teams are allowed about 4,000 away fans, our away end holds 2,100.

But on the plus not were allowed 15,000 fans to Old Trafford and about 7,000 to Man City etc. :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Our Club will be meeting/discussing these issues tomorrow. :ayatollah:

MALKY THE MIRACLE MAN :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Our board have no excuses come January 2012 for us to sign more players as now there is at least £500,000 in the kitty towards wages.

This to me is my best season for at least 8 years and I am loving every minute off it. :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Happy days indeed, mate.

My son was bouncing last night. I gave in and we caught a late train home, because he didn't have school today (plus I could tell it was going to take him ages to calm down if we went home on the usual one!)

The fairweathers will come out of the woodwork, as they always do, but it's important for the old stagers like us to enjoy these times. Let's face it, there were plenty of lean times in the past!

WE STILL NEED MORE PLAYERS, THOUGH!

Malky will bring us premiership football within 3 seasons im certain of it,the board have to back him fully now starting in januray as the semi finals along with the FA cup and a hectic league schedule is going to be too much for our talewnted but too small squad
tickets for the semi-final will be season ticket holders first ,although i do agree people who went to the previous rounds should be looked after
will be shocked if theyre £15 ;)

Its all good it more money for the Club at the end of the day and it's now getting harder for the board to say no to Malky with the Job he's doing . More runs like this, is only a good thing for the rep he's building the chance that the board might back him with more money. There were a few in the ground last night that were not season tickets holders or regulars, but it's all good more so as I doubt the Club will now offer cheaper tickets , so its more money again

This is the only part that gets me. For one we've been here before even better in some ways has we've been able to sign we're are top of the league before Christmas . And you're raving about a Carling Cup run, but didn't enjoy a FA cup run?.

Thats my view/feelings say what ever you want,I continued to follow City and always will, no matter who is in charge, but under Jones, I did not and before we went on that run, myself and others met Ridsdale asking him to sack him, Lucky for Jones we went on a Cup run, took us 5 years to make the play-offs, but it was not about what we achieved it was about the ignorant manager and players we had at our club. Jones is the first manager ever to cancel our supporters end of season do. Xmas time, players would never turn up for the kids, this year everyone is. :ayatollah:

I am allowed my feelings/view and yes I am enjoying watching City under Malky more than DJ, you wont force me to change my view, you have tried many times, thats what life is about, different views/opinions. :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

i really dont get peoples problems with this!?!?!

so we will sell out! isnt that a good thing? grounds all over the country have exactly the same problem! how many fans are palace taking to united tonight? how many did they have watch thier first and second round matches!?

i really dont see why people moan about this, we will have a full house, and we will take thousands away to one of the big clubs in what will hopefully be a fantastic night, regardless of the result.

Its good for the club, so please stop whining!! :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

No, it does get to me, we could not get 9,000 fans in earlier rounds, when it was peanuts to watch them, £10 and £1 any where, so yes it does get to me.
Last night should of been a sell out in the home end.

Ok, answer this, why will it be a sell out in the next round and it is going to be more expensive ?

I will always whinge, thats me. :ayatollah:

Re: " SUPERB/AMAZING NIGHT " BUT NOW THE PROBLEMS

Wed Nov 30, 2011 11:33 am

mid week cup match in the first few rounds of the cup. Us, just like every other team, had lower attendances. why? well becasue a lot of people arent willing to pay the extra money, a lot of people just couldnt be bothered i guess. each individual is different, personally i didnt go to the huddersfield game, but went to the liecester, burnley and blackburn match.

yes, obviously it will be a sell out in the semi, i think even if we get palace it will be a sell out, or at least very close. why? well mainly becuase its a semi final, a big match! obviously a game against man city, united or liverpool sells itself!

in terms of ticket prices, the club did a great think keeping the prices down for the first few rounds. and 15 quid was again superb for last nights match! its a little disappointing that we didnt sell more. but why shouldnt the club cash in on a money spinning tie against one of the big boys? i think, when tickets prices are announced, it will be 20 quid, but even if its 25 i dont think you can argue against the club too much.

p.s. just to give you one example of why people might not be going, and i reckon this will apply to a lot of people. I have a mate who sits in the family stand with his kid. he hasnt been to any of the cup matches as it finishes too late and the kid has school the next day, so, not wanting to go on his own, neither of them go. He has told me that they will go to the semi final as a one off for the kid, because it will be a "big occasion" (his words)

not every has bottomless pockets either, i think some people need to stop looking for an argument and just get on supporting the team :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

being an exile does have its benefits, like long train journeys back with your cardiff pin badge on (courtesy of billy badge)and randome supporters from other teams asking where you go from to watch them and they get impressed about how you follow a team like cardiff from so far away. but then its a ball ache for home midweek games  rain or shine though, i'll still be there, at the game or next to the radio. bluuuuuuuuuubirds :ayatollah:

Re: " SUPERB/AMAZING NIGHT " BUT NOW THE PROBLEMS

Wed Nov 30, 2011 12:08 pm

Lucky for Jones we went on a Cup run, took us 5 years to make the play-offs

Why is luck when Jones goes on a Cup run and it's miracle working when Malky goes on a Cup run ?. And under Jones we began to continually improve season on season for the most part.

I am allowed my feelings/view and yes I am enjoying watching City under Malky more than DJ,

myself and others met Ridsdale asking him to sack him

Who do you think you are ?. Talk like that, is a bit arrogant

What is this... I am I will ? Most hear have been watching Cardiff through the dire years and the good times and it's not just you that will contunine to support the Club come what may... most will, it's what fans do

Now there's plenty here and in the Club that hate Sam the Man for the mess he left the Club him, don't want Sam to come anywhere Wales or Cardiff every again. That doesn't change the fact, what a good Job he did for a Club in a lot of ways, mess up in the end , but still did a good job for may years, I feel the same for Jones, did lot of good for the Club , but it was time to move on couldn't do any more , same for Lennie Lawrence - who did a good job to get us the Championship but in the end just couldn't take us any further

I'm sure when we went to that stadium presentation before the move from Ninian Park to CCS, we were told that in the event of a big cup tie (or promotion to the Premier League) the extra allocation needed for away supporters would be accomadated by using the 'Community Seating'

It was explained that the Community Seating was the first few rows of the Family Stand and would otherwise be used to give free tickets to schools etc.

If this was true then I can't see why the club says it needs to move fans in the Ninian Stand now or in the future?

yeah that was the original plan to use the community seating
but the club then changed their minds and said if the away section needed to be extended it would eat into the Ninian Stand
now the club may have changed their mind again and use the community seating
but as i understand it at this moment in time they will take seats from the Ninian Stand

I agree with the comment about stub holders for previous Carling Cup matches. As someone who was not been able to make the Burnley or Blackburn matches due to evening classes, I was only able to make it to Huddersfield and Leicester. Both of those games were amazing value for a tenner, as well! If the home Semi-Final leg is on a day that I could make it, I'd love to be there.

I'd even pay the club top dollar for the privilege!
