MALKY HAS TG'S BACKING

Mon Oct 17, 2011 4:18 pm

City launch a new programme with Malaysia and on the video in the link TG says that Malky has TG'S backing 100% in the january transfer window. Watch the video from 3:30, that's the interesting part :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

interesting interview,thanks for posting

it seems the boards plan all along was to see if malky can steady the ship and that he is the right man for the job(which he definetly is in most peoples opinion) before investing their cash in january which makes sense from a buisness point of view, hopefully we can be around were we are now in the league and make the final push for promotion in the new year

ive always believed the malaysians are fully commited to cardiff city and genuinely care for the fans and the local area :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

[quote="Johnny Rythmn"]Promises, promises.....I will reserve judgement until then :old:

It's not backing MM needs it finance :old:[/quote. u got to remember all Dave Jones staff was given compo, malky brought all his own staff in which we had to pay compo, all the free transfers would have cost a bit in wages, miller and turner must of cost between 1.5-2mill.they have bought the lights for pitch which wasn't cheap while still paying of historic debts, how can u say its finance malky needs and promises, promises, they have done everyone they have said so far.there's money there for players, but malkay won't sign players for sake of it.he's waiting for right ones.

I suppose so.

However if what people say is true, then I wish they would see how imperative it is to develop a top class structure for homegrown player development

Well done TG great insight and interview :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Isnt that exactly what their doing now with the Academy and soccer schools
and 'Cardiff City in the Community' etc.

I'm gagging for new players, we might be lagging a bit too far behind come
January if we dont get at least another striker in. Then again, maybe Rudy
and Miller will get a crack on saturday, and maybe it will work?? Given the
obvious committment to the future shown by TG today I find it even more
difficult to believe that they ARENT willing to back Malky right now.

Time will tell, but if it really is a question of Malky being unwilling to bring
players in just for the sake of it, then i suppose we should be thankful he
wont go rushing in and bringing bodies in just for the sake of it!

I been saying it a long time now. Come January, if we are in the mix Malky will be backed in the transfer market to enable us to kick on and finish the season strong instead of petering out like a damp squib - watch us fly :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Its official, the present owners want Premier league football for this club after this present season ends, fine words, noble words, bot not worth anything unless you are prepared to invest in strengthening our current squad,if investment is not made the current squad is never going to be good enough,to even get to the play offs,i know it and the vast majority on here no that to be the case to......talk is cheap TG..talk is cheap

CARDIFF City’s Malaysian investors have pledged that manager Malky Mackay will have their backing when the January transfer window opens.

Mackay is currently searching for Premiership loan players to bring in over the next few weeks, while chairman Dato Chan Tien Ghee says: “If he wants help during the January transfer window he sure has our backing. Certainly.”

Tonight, Mackay and his Bluebirds take on manager Darren Ferguson’s Peterborough United in their latest Championship match.

Dato Chan, known as ‘TG’ in and around the football club, attended Cardiff City’s 2-2 Championship draw against Ipswich Town before watching the club’s youth Academy teams in matches against Bristol City the next day.

Yesterday, an agreement was signed between Cardiff City and the Malaysian Federal Land Development Agency (Felda) which gives the club links with tens of thousands of youngsters in rural Malaysia.

Former Bluebirds winger Kevin Cooper is heading up a grass-roots coaching scheme in Malaysia and 30,000 children will be coming through Cardiff’s community football training programme there and that will raise the profile of the Bluebirds abroad.

“This will strengthen even further the links between Malaysia and Cardiff City – and it is also a sign of our continued commitment to this football club,” said TG, sitting in the directors seats at Cardiff City Stadium as he talked to the South Wales Echo.

“Malky Mackay has it spot on. Look at the work ethic of our team against Ipswich Town.

“The players put their bodies on the line.

“They play as though they are willing to die for each other.

“The way Malky Mackay engages fans, the press and everybody at the football club is good to see.

“We must build blocks and make progress.

“This team needs to be together for a whole season before we see things really happening.

“We need an element of luck along the way.

“This club is 100 years old. Getting up to the Premier would be nice to do. We will build towards that and not kill ourselves trying to get there.

“By the grace of God we need another Welsh team in the Premiership.”

Investment in jan why dont we play ralls and mason up front for 5-6 games see what happens and i can assure you we would be lucky to get a point out of all them games,we needed investment in the team NOW and before the season kicked off numbers have proved that already this season with 2-4 players out,What about now not 3months away as we wont be anywhere near the top half going off what we done so far once we get another 2-4 injurys with the current squad we will have a bottom half finish,We might have battlers on the field but that dont get you results every week :ayatollah:

Well we was also told last season if we are 2nd come jan we would get a 2milion bugdet come jan that didnt happen  like i said above if we was really wanting prem football it would have been done and dusted by start of the season lets face it we are way low on numbers from last year 5-6 less players and it showed when the loan window opened/closed after having 3-4 injurys and NOT ONE PLAYER IN i call it SKINT others call it on here being negative

I've always maintained my concerns recently regarding the Malaysians and until it happens then my concerns will continue to be aired.

thats what i dont get i can not understand how they are expecting a return on less than half of what was put in last year yet we are going for the prem ,i think not with what we have for sure :?
