Get over him, He hasn't got the work ethic to be in a Malky side.

In all fairness, I think Malky would rip him to bits and change him, but I still wouldnt want him back now unless he was on less than Earnie!!

He has fallen flat on his arse, cos he dont have the right attitude
and isnt mentally tough enough, we all saw it coming. STAN knew
better :?

However Jay has had a taste of 'bling bling, dat premiership 'ting' now...

Imagine him 'lowering himself' to play in the Championship again...

He'd go AWOL quicker that Taraabt.

I wouldnt touch him with a bargepole now

Couldn't agree more, great talent but cack attitude and sadly destined to fail :(

whys everyone looking back at old players they're gone, best of luck to with the rest of the careers and all that but tbh i don't care whether they're cut out for Premier League and Conference unless they're on loan from e.g. Parkin or Jarvis

No i don't have a grudge tbh Jay was won of my fav players over the past couple of years, we might as well look forward under Mackay. ;)

Re: Bothroyd

Tue Oct 04, 2011 11:32 pm

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He let us down with his 'contractual' antics and (apparently when asked) the remaining players from last season said they didn't want him at the start of the season

What about sending him to West Ham where he could be sponsored by Daya and left to sit on a specially constructed pine subs bench??

It makes me Laugh !! "Bothroyd is like an Old Girlfriend to some, that was constantly cheating on you but you would still have her back in a shot because you believe that you could not get better". He screwed us over he spat his dummy out because he did not get the move he wanted after his England Cap. (And to think we all supported him and was pleased for him at the time) He went out on the pitch and did not even try, and even took the piss when it came to training (Dave Jones mainly to blame there, but players aint kids) and staying out before games. He is history and i would never want him back here, he has no commitment, no respect, and he has no right ever to pull on a City shirt again. Gestede is now our Player support him he will be twice the player Jay will ever be.

Cos he can't control a ball, doesn't score many goals, not very mobile and is too old anyway :?

Mind you gives 100% and can play the guitar

Simply not good enough now, or before, at Championship level despite a couple of lucky goals in the Prem.

Didnt he also book his holiday for the same time as last years play off final BEFORE we had even qualified for it :x

No thanks to any return, as good as he could have been, his attitude stinks and would just disrupt our current squad.

Has the team to much passion for you ? You hanker for the Days of Dave Jones and his band of money grabbing mercenaries. You want the type of player that does not give a shit for the Club his team mates or the supporters ? :? :? :? :? :? :? :? . COM

I do not hanker for the days of DJ it was time for him to leave but if you think any player (Except maybe Earnie) cares anyless about money and more about Cardiff City than last years bunch then you are seriosuly deluded.

Why do you think we managed to get Gunnarsson, Tayler and Cowie? Because they care4 about CCFC? or the wages on offer?

Its 2011 man. The days of football clubs owned by the local butcher, baker, candle stick maker all chewing the fat over a packet of marigold biscuits in a wodden cladded boardroom, filled with a team of local players busting a gut for their boyhood club are long gone.

What i ask for in any Player is he gives 100% and the likes of Earnie, Conway Cowie gives that, always !!. Put your hand on your heart and tell me Jay always gave 100%. In fact he very rarely gave 50% especially after he got refused his move to Fulham.
