who was your man of the match?

Mine was marshal. Without him we were going to loose that 4-0 atleast. Also liked the way cowie whits and gunnarson played. Rudy was great when he came on. Things looking good

Thought we played well as a unit,took a little while to get going,last 20 i had a feeling we would knick it

Marshall, gerard Cowie for me. thought Cowie got through an immence amout of leg work. remember we were up against a midfield three thought to be the best in the championship this year. In my eyes this is a result that would have been like us going to newcastle two seasons ago and winning. we didn't we lost 5-0 . great start long way to go.

Over 90 minutes Marshall for me, apart from that one corner he looked super confident and in control.

I agree though that the whole team was very good today and all put in a shift

silver fox McNorton for me & marshal 2nd after all he's the goal keeper and should stop the ball hitting the back of the net thats his job. But twice the ball beat him post & whittingham saved his rep.

would also like to see gestade abit more.. thought he was dangerous , good flicks ons, put pressure on defenders, looked good in possession..

what was the problem with gunnarssons long throws though!! he needs a bit of practice on them...

No real stand out player but a good team performance. My man of the match has to be Malky Mackay. Did something Moans never did too well i.e utilised the subs bench and encouraged the players from the sidelines for 90 minutes and got us the 3 points

Marshall, but everyone made a huge effort. Even Earnie, Miller and Whitts who seemed a little quiet but still tried their best. I liked Mason and Rudy when they came on. Gerrard was great at set pieces. Gunnarson's throws were good fun too. He was great in the middle but.

Would give it to Marshall, though as I said elsewhere - everyone worked hard for each other and we defended well from the front and throughout the team. WE also looked to attack at every opportunity with everyone getting forward.

whitts was great today

marshall man of the match and gunnarson a close second, i thought it was an excellent team effort especially by the midfield, we would have lost that game by 2 or 3 goals last season we would have been totally over run in midfield against quality such as parker , nolan and noble i was really impressed

So how will he ever play well for you ? That's all he can do, it's his job and he did it pretty f*cking well
