The Signing of Kenny Miller

Wed Jul 20, 2011 11:46 am

It amazes me why some people are in doubt over this player. In no way am I having a pop but Kenny Miller has proved himself as a goalscorer time and time again. I saw someone said that anyone can score in the SPL... then why are we so excited about Goodwillie. Of course Goodwillie is going to be a big hit in my opinion but it carries the same principle. Both strikers have proved themselves in the SPL. I didnt exactly see el hadjj diouf set the SPL on fire and i bet there would be loads of people on here over the moon if we signed diouf.

Its clear that Miller has proved himself internationally as well. He can score goals at all levels and with Malky by the side of him im sure he can be a massive player for us.

The press have given a lot of coverage to this signing and it deserves it. In my opinion Kenny Miller is a big big player and he deserves the publicity.. i think he's better than chopra and has the ability to score more than Bothroyd did. With Malky by his side im sure he will work hard. Having seen him play he's already got a tremendous work eithic and along with scoring goals it'll be nice to have someone who puts in a good shift for the team.

To all the doubters i really hope Kenny Miller can prove you wrong and fire us into the Premiership :ayatollah:

i agree with you too, too many people seem to forget that Goodwillie played in the SPL as well as Miller
but then everyone deserves their opinion to be spoken and im not going to argue with them
i personnally think they will both be big hits !!!!

Which included goodwillie,i know he was playing for a better team but this man has scored goals in the prem and at international level and if he signs will be a very good signing imo, hope we get goodwillie as well tho

hes half decent personally i thought he was shite in enegland expecially at derby but his goalscoring record in scotland is good but my dog could score up there the one thing is hes got more experiance now than when he was in england before so that should be a good sign with goodwillie i think coz hes young he can fullfill his potential

I'm with you, really excited with this signing, just the striker we need. :ayatollah:
Bellers back with Goodwillie, and we'll rock this league. :D
Maybe we could do with a midfield marshal, someone like Graham Kavanagh. :|

I don't like him cause he's a dick

natural goal scorer, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zdq_6JGshvQ

Can't see why there is so many doubters, personally i was suprised why he was sold to Bursaspor for under a Million. Plus he got the SPL golden Boot in 2010/2011. No resale value given his age of 31 but could do a job for 2-3 seasons

Malky will be spoilt for strikers to choose from if Miller, Goodwillie, Bellamy, Earnie, Parkin, Mason, Gestede & Jarvis are all in the squad

Don't want to pee on your parade folks, but i don't think he will he will go to cardiff, all the stuff coming out of ibrox are that he wants to come back and rangers want him back and are putting together another offer.

Not massively though. On a scale of 1 to 10 Ide say KMs season so far has been a 6.5 to a 7.

For the record i was not one of the doubters.

i can remember kenny went like 2 games without scoring and there was so many threads and posts saying how he was over the hill, just after one last payday,we should have signed goodwillie etc, rather shameful

i bet all involved are feeling pretty foolish right now

From recollection some poster called Quasdas absolutely detests Kenny Miller and was his biggest critic when we sign3ed him.

I am amazed at your comment and it just goes to show how differently people can view football

Miller over the last 6-7 weeks has been inspirational. Take his goals out of the equation and he's still doing a great job in getting the midfield involved, it's no coincidence the number of gaols the midfield are getting.

His work ethic is superb and when presented with a "one on one" chance he rarely misses. I'm not sure what more the guy can do in the line striker role to convince people of his worth :?

I am happy to admit I was a doubter but I Kenny's performances and commitment to the cause have proved me wrong :ayatollah: Long may it continue :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

I hardly gave him a 3 or 4.

I gave him a 6.5 / 7 because he didnt have the best of starts, he had a poor game last Saturday, and should have won us the points at Coventry the game before that.

To get a 9/10 you need to be at Whitts level and MOTM nearly every game.

Mason seems to be learning a hell of a lot from Kenny Miller, because when he comes on the simalarity in their style of play is uncanny.
