Fair point.
Just seen that interview with Dave Jones after yesterdays game.I can't believe right at the end he says 'How do you know' to the interviewer,'That we didn't want to finish 4th'![]()
What a sad sad man he is with absolutely no class at all.
You really need shot of him.

Splottoman wrote:Remind me, as of corse you are the number one team in Wales as we both played eachother twice both won one nil on eachothers patches. What was your average attendances this season? They must have been close to sell out all season! I know you'd struggle to get around 24000 as your stadium is smaller than ours but hey you finished one point above us. How many season tickets you already sold for next season? It must be more than what we have sold as you are obviously in such a better position than us to get promoted to the premier league! They too must also be nearing sell out. And of corse with your far superior turn over than ours you will be well positioned for an assault on the premier league.
I think one thing that history has taught us. All this bragging and boasting on each others web sites doesn't really do anything except come along and bite you on your arses! So blackswan lets wait and see were we both are at the start of next season! I much preferred the days when there were no computers and the only way these conversations would happen is face to face and the way they got solved is by giving the jack a slap!
Good luck in the play offs obviously except when we beat you in wembley!

True, but your dominance is but a fleeting moment in time. One the other hand, our dominance is emphatic and continued.
Go, look at the stats and the tables over the years. Please come back and report how many times you have finished above us in all of your existence as a club. Please, please tell me how many times.![]()

Like you say, the tables never lie, Cardiff are far the number one club in Wales, both in their support and time spent higher than any other club in the Principality.

Fair enough, but you are not often ahead of us and it don't usually last long either.![]()

You are on here trying to crow about being ahead of us after just 24 hours though. Come back when you have sustained that after 10 years.![]()

I told you all this before yesterday's games and of course was shot down in flames.
You will not beat Reading, believe me.Reading are a team, while you are just a side of talented individuals who dont always perform. You all said we'd fade away,we didn't,infact we grew stronger, winning our last 3 games and now go into the playoffs bang in form.
Jones will walk after Reading turn you over and then you'll kick on and get promoted one way or another next season under a manager who knows how to control a club and it's potential.
We're all Taffs at the end of the day so i wish you well and good luck.

Die Walkure wrote:Black swan makes a lot of sense in what he says here - we should have walked this league and with a good manager, would have done - and if we don't go up this year, then we will get a good manager next year and go up - I think on the other hand, Swansea with a far less impressive squad on paper have performed very well this year, and the table doesn't lie.
However, I was genuinely pleased yesterday that we got 4th rather than 3rd place as I would much prefer to play Reading - not that that means I think we will definitely beat them, but I think we do have a very good chance, whereas I wouldn't have fancied our chances against Forest, especially as the City Ground has been a fortress this year - at least if we meet them in Wembley, they won't have that advantage.
If we can just get past Reading, then even though we have the liability of having a worse manager in Jones at Wembley, we do at least have Bellamy this year, who hopefully will be able to counter the Jones liability on the pitch, and get us over the winning line. All we fans can do is heartily support the team for (hopefully) another 3 games and hope someone else may freeze on the big day at Wembley - if its the Jacks, there's every possibility, as they've not played there for 14 years, whereas it would be our 4th appearance there in 3 years.
The other factor that I think black swan is overly optimistic over is that they own all of their squad and will be strong next year. I think that if they fail to get up, that they could lose De Vries, Pratley, Rangel, Sinclair, Askley Williams and obvioulsy Borini. This is not my view, but what the Jacks in work with me are saying. I think they may also struggle to keep hold of Rogers. If on the other hand, they get up, then I think the future is potentially bright for them.
For myself, if we get up, if the Jacks want to crow about being higher than us in the table, then that's fine by me as that shows an unhealthy interest in foolish local issues that don't matter a jot to the wider world - but there's a big if in there, and if on the other hand they got up, then that would be a completely different matter.
