The general consensus is that the punishment should, an will, follow precedents set from previous hearings of similar magnitude, and the Swindon Town case of the early 90s is heavily referred to as the precedent the hearing should/ could follow (Swindon were initially relegated twice subsequent to the hearing, but on appeal reduced it to one relegation).
Whatever Friday's outcome presents, it will certainly be interesting and of huge interest to us

My mother always told me that god moves in mysterious ways his wonders to perform and a few years ago West Ham Utd broke a rule, less serious than the rule now, but didn't receive the normal punishment and as a result Sheffield Utd were relegated.
Now a few years on West Ham Utd are on the verge of relegation and maybe just maybe Sheffield Utd will be saved from another relegation by this QPR situation.
I agree with Mark Palios being found guilty of lying to the FA, the National Association, is by far the most serious charge if it's proven QPR can expect the very worst.
And the worst could very well be more than one division.![]()

Did you know that a fact that i found out is that NO TEAM is promoted (QPR) until a team from the Premiership is relegated and the space has been made avaialble!
strange but true..... They can't be relegated from a league they don not compete in yet.....

If QPR go down then what's to stop them insisting that to be consistent we have to be relegated too?

Thank you Jon.
I think we are the only two people to have brought up the implications of the Swindon situation in the 90's. Recently promoted to the top division (Div 1 as it then was), Swindon were relegated TWO DIVISIONS AFTER the season had ended. This was later reduced to ONE DIVISION on appeal. In chats with fans there have been few who even knew about it but the FA/FL must be seen to deal fairly and firmly with this QPR situation. The comments of the London based media are irrelevant as are the wishes of QPR fans. A weak result will result in the fixture lists being thrown into chaos. Furthermore the Govt, Clubs, Uefa and Fifa are looking carefully at the case that justice is seen to be done and will not allow anything else.
Regarding just one of the charges, using an unlicensed agent, Luton got docked 10 pts. QPR, not only had played an unregistered player but also the S American club still have not received it's £3.5m transfer fee. They have also falsified documentation seeking to cover up the mistakes.

However, such is the seriousness of the allegations made against QPR that it would not be surprising to me should the authorities be really harsh and relegate them to the 1st Division (as there is not yet a precedent for a collection of missdemeanours of such seriousness) for that to be amended on appeal to being lucky to stay in the Championship.

This is impossible as they can not be relegated from the Premiership - as they are not yet legally a registered premeir league team. as commented in above posts.

Also faurlin was registered, just with MISSING information regarding his ownership and economic rights.
I think the falsification are documents relating to the cost of the fee, where QPR boasted they payed £3.5m for him, yet paperwork actually shows they payed £600,000 instead, so where is the missing £2.9 million quid gone?

People are focusing on the named agent.
bear in mind a charge is that QPR *sought* to pay an unlicensed agent. Given numerous shady South America deals involve a front "legit" agent whilst those unauthorised ones sit in the background taking their cut, it may well even be the case this guy was a frontman - and evidence was provided to that extent. Also faurlin was registered, just with MISSING information regarding his ownership and economic rights.
Where, had that info been provided, he may not have been.I think the falsification are documents relating to the cost of the fee, where QPR boasted they payed £3.5m for him, yet paperwork actually shows they payed £600,000 instead, so where is the missing £2.9 million quid gone?
That's been the internet line, which is bs. QPR can boast in the media to appease fans clamouring for a big money signing all they want. That's not illegal. Various journos have claimed the FA acted after hearing about the claimed value, which is bs.

That was meant as a tongue in cheek comment on my part. I think everyone can see what I am getting at but if you want to be technical then of course your correct

I will cross my fingers for Friday’s outcome but I think our trip to Burnley will end in a promotion party for us.
