Pompey Fan..........

hi :ayatollah:

Coming up to yours for Pompey game and just wondering...is row AA at the front or the back?

We should bring a fair few as our support away has been top quality....4000 to reading Saturday (we're not allowed more apparently it's a local derby!!!!) we only have one derby and that's the scum from down the road :!: ffs

PLAY UP POMPEY

Row AA is about 27 rows up so much nearer top than bottom.

I live in Andover-i hate the scum too (crap club with 1 song plus i've never seen us win at St Marys!). Was speaking to a pompey lad on Sunday at my sons football-tidy bloke......

we made a hell of a racket down your place early in the season. was dissapointed by you lot as i know your support is pretty decent. hope you make as much noise as we did when you come down. :ayatollah:

Re: Pompey Fan..........

That's good to be near the back :D

Yeah tbh our home support has been awful this season - but a lot of fans are still boycotting especially the lads from the 80's who made all the noise...we just do away games now - more of a day out.

A lot of Pompey staying in Cardiff over night ;) It'll be a good atmosphere I reckon - not sure what your home supports' like.

PS We have Swansea at home on St George's Day

Re: Pompey Fan..........

our home support isn't that great, number wise it is good. when the songs get going its a really good atmosphere but for most of us the atmopshere doesnt get going enough and thats why most of us complain about it and compare it to ninian park a lot. ninian park was a fortress and we made good noise there but when it gets going in the CCS its pretty decent.
i know your attendances have dropped quite a bit especially when we came up. 13 or 14k i think it was? so understandable when you mention fans boycotting the games.
make sure you do a job on the jacks for us :ayatollah:

We're getting around 16k recently - average is around 15k.

But, despite coming out of admin we still have the same owner as before :x which is why I and others are still boycotting!

I have to say, I was thinking of getting a season ticket this season but I take it you lot didn't hear about our season ticket scandal? The board said we have 2 weeks for early bird, prices went up by 30%, and cash only!!! no debit/credit card company....and you guessed it, that has made the boycott even bigger - only 2000 renewed for next season in the early bird.

Obviously there was massive outrage, thousands wrote to the CEO, since he has come in he has kept him email private, that got leaked :D the protest group SOS Pompey created I.O.U notes saying along the lines of As PFC have used IOU notes in the past (over £100million infact) Portsmouth fans are doing the same with £400 but only if we can pay by debit/credit card, for any inconvenience caused we will pay £5 to Tom Prince Charity (the main local charity)

Funnily enough...fan power took over. We now have an extra month and they are allow debit/credit card again soon.

It's still a shambles down here....that's why we have good away support these days

Re: Pompey Fan..........

Tue Mar 29, 2011 8:24 pm

a lot of clubs are facing big problems and scandals. we had a similar one last season with PR. he's history now which is good news, got the malaysians in who seem to be doing a good job, things look like they're on the up for us but being a city fan...theres always a problem that comes our way.
hope it all gets better for you mate, we were in big trouble and luckily we have avoided it( for now) nasty business

Does it still kick off at your games?

I remember when you lot came down to FP, 20 Pompey lads drinking in the Good Companion and cardiff coach pulled up and charged...not one Pompey ran :D

Re: Pompey Fan..........

Tue Mar 29, 2011 8:37 pm

lol i remember going there at the start of the season and few of your "fans" if you can call them that attacked 2 or 3 elderly fans aged 50 +. scum they were. respect pompey, good club. but youve had it handed to you before son  all friendly banter. with all the winding up with us and the jacks from the past few days....i havent got the energy anymore lol. down at our ground it doesnt really kick off because of the security down here but some games against the smaller clubs have had hardly any police presence.

Re: Pompey Fan..........

Tue Mar 29, 2011 9:02 pm

this will make you laugh....

One of the biggest police presence at our games this season was Barnsley...there was a fans meeting with the CEO and someone asked why there was such a large police presence at the game....the CEO replied "we had received intelligence that the Barnsley Ultras were travelling to the game"

PMSL :D

They have a day out to commemorate one of their friend's deaths a few years ago. It happened when they played us a few years back and all hell broke loose. It could have coincided with that event

i remember your lot beating up a couple of cardiff old timers, then a cardiff coach stopping and battered the bullying pricks

Re: Pompey Fan..........

PompeyFan657, just some friendly advice for your trip. A lot of our lads were angered by the cowardly attack by your boys on two of ours after the game at the Good Companion Pub. We had been drinking there before the game with no problems whatsoever from your lot and any Pompey that were there were normal fans and weren't bothered by us. If you come into Canton or the City Centre before the game my advice is to keep a low profile just in case any of our lads are seeking revenge. Hope you enjoy your trip to Cardiff as much as we did coming to your place, but the points are staying with us! Terry. :ayatollah:

Went with a dads amd lads gropu, no problems in the pub before hand but did get threatened afterwards and we had to leave, BUT having said that we did walk past some very likely looking lads on the way to the station who were milling round ( ? 657 - they were 30s/40s ) who didn't give us a second look ( few of the kids had City tops on ) which is the way it should be.
Heard about the aggro afterwards presume it was wanky wannabees.
