I think he is exactly the type of player we need. Physically, this season he seems to be fine with injuries so should be over that(I HOPE!). He has the exact kind of both physicality AND influence that our team seems to be missing. A bit of bollocks in the back line.

Put it this way, I'd rather sign Danny than Loovens. Or Shittu.

best defender we ever had here but that was what? 5 or 6 years ago. Bound to have lost a yard or two of pace, which was one of his biggest assets.

To be honest our injury problems are massively over hyped, we hardly have any injuries, certainly no more than previous seasons and no more than any other club.

Gabbidon would be a risk but his quality would be a massive bonus, this season he has already played in 18 games in the league for WHU, last time he played that many games in a season was the 06/07 season and that was over an entire season. He is clearly a lot fitter now but who knows when his back problems would flair up. I keep saying it but if he had no risk with injuries someone else would have took him. A quality fully fit CB costs a lot and we arent going to get one easily, everyone is looking remember.

If we're gunna lose one in that area (Riggot/Gyepes) then he's a great replacement. But otherwise I think we'd be better off getting a CM in.

If memory serves, did he not have special boots made because of his back problems? :?: :?:

the only problem i got with this 'potential' transfer is that it's another loan

which means we would then have 7, so every game either 2 loanees has to sit in the stands.

i mean, gabbidon, bellamy, olofinjana, would be our 3 main loan players, they would play every game (exept when craig has to sit out because of his knee)

but then if you had 2 slots left, this means that, Drinky, Keogh, JET and koumas would have to battle it out to make the last 2

it would be hard leaving 2 of any of these players out of a squad. Expecially if there all fit

Yeah he had them made at Cardiff tho I think but he still have made limited appearances for WHU since his first season, making only 20 appearances between 07 and 10 seasons.

that'll give uas Hudson, keinan, Gabbidon, Quinn, Gyepes and Riggott - too many? Gyepes a goner? will we hang on to Riggott? if he is with us on a pay as you play basis, then why not, won't do no harm

Seriously though, 18 starts this season seems to say "I'm back" don't it? Not only fit, but not been dropped either? (untill loaned out that is)

once they took his teeth out- problem solved, took ages to route the real problem. ( was tempting to put root and back teeth)

A few of you seem to be mentioning a loan.

I thought the talk was of a permanent, cut price transfer due to his contract running down? :?

think it would be a good signing. proven at this level. has done ok in the premiership when fit, but there shouldnt be any worries on his fitness or injuries because he has played quite a lot of minuites for the past few weeks. think its a good singing IF we get him :ayatollah:

Yeah I'd be very happy if Gabbidon was back with us. :ayatollah:
But much prefer if we bought him, and he accepted decent Championship wages.

Coming towards the end of his contract; but would £250,000 really be enough?

Yes another injury prone player that we can fully do without. Part of our problem is that we cannot keep a steady starting 11 and we need some consistancy
