Bristol City Sign Another Cardiff Lad- thats 4 this week

Not prepared to go into names, but it's all the fault of GETHIN JENKINS. and his policy stance.

Ask him if you are concerned. Make sure you get the truth.

 You seem concerned AND mentioned a policy stance.

Back of the net was asking what knowledge you had of the situation as no one else seems concerned and perhaps we should be.

Just because they are from Cardiff doesn't mean they are any good, they could be shite.

im not concerned mate, far from it. Gethin policy is to go it alone within the industry and has upset a few so they take to other clubs now, independent scouts/ football consultants etc. like i say 4 into Bristol this week from Cardiff area.

Hes got a few backs up and unlike supporters , these types have other options.

But your exact words were that it was Jenkins FAULT?

That sounds like concern to me?

Half a story is worse than no story at all

Say what u mean feller eh?

Re: Bristol City Sign Another Cardiff Lad- thats 4 this week

Its simple in short- Gethin Jenkins banned independent football scouts - they used to feed City with good quality players.

Main reason, one they supported City and wanted them to have the best of the area. Two nearest Club especially Cardiff area.

Due to this policy- they go elsewhere .

I thought that the lads from this forum (Carl, Annis and Ridofrid) met with Scott Young recently and he did a presentation along the lines of how well the set up is and that it's getting even better and that hardly anything gets through the net and that in fact we are poaching from the Worzels and have plans to set up a facility in Gloucester. Perhaps Carl or Annis would care to comment on Daya's remarks.

Theres miles of difference to what actually happens especially whats written on this board. Out of respect to the lads and their efforts it shouldnt get into a messageboard tear up as all they attempt to do will assist and help and they follow only what they are presented by City.

A good example is this though - and its fact . A £2000 loss of revenue by CCFITC this season, so the first 2k raised will in fact replace lost revenue.

Cowbridge Town FC paid CCFITC last season for coaching kids within Cowbridge Town Club.

This season they failed to contact Cowbridge Town FC - hence the Club has gone elsewhere.

Simple business not applied .

Thats typical of the business side of matters.

I was just pointing out that your info doesn't tally with what I read on here recently. I would just like to hear from someone who was at that meeting in order that they may comment on what you have said

I know that mate.... sorry if it came across differently.

it's a simple case of Club propaganda and to be fair to those who went to the meeting they would know no different.

Daya, are you saying that the Club are telling us one thing but doing something else? If that's the case it's a bit worrying to say the least. An all singing all dancing youth academy and scouting network is an absolute essential if we are to survive.

Read the post above mate. All singing and Dancing it isn't - scouting network ? pensioners who spend more time on their allotments. in fairness to them they dont get looked after so you cant blame them.

I note this in Carls update

The Malaysians invited Scott Young and his staff to go to Malaysia and look at the set up that they have in place over there, Scott says that they are impressed with how we run our set up and have asked for his advice on helping them do the same,

Talk about building the estate before you have built your first house!

To give you another example - an u13 development centre in Cardiff had 4 lads leave last week in their words " because its shit" - that leaves 3/4 of them who now have to move to U14 to make up the numbers. Honestly you couldnt make it up, everything is dressed as wedding cake , when its sponge and jam in the middle really.

Let me tell you about one real top player at Bristol, hes quality, play u13- lives Cardiff. Cardiff wanted him back, he thought about it and went along to only last one session , said this is shit and told his old man he would rather do the travelling ( which is murder week days) that says something !

Be a malaysian team one day - just look at what they are really doing! look at Carls update.

This is not the first club they have tried it either- TG got told to bugger off elsewhere!

Theres a website related to their plans somewhere! be buggered if i can find it tonight though.

Why you think VT sponsoring malay players to come over?

Going from one extreme to the other Keltic Kids to the team from the rising sun!
