ONE that comes to me is a player who first play for WBA, Then went to Wolves and stay with them, many clubs wanted him and he while he was at Wolves. One Manager Try to sell him,the whole of the fans walk on the stadium and in the end they sacked the manager. He play for england under this manager and come of the bech to score his first goal for england in a game england V Scotland. He still holds the most goals scored, He Is STEVE BULL, as loyal as they come.

Thing is fans are now so fickle and quickly turn on all players, why should they show loyalty when fans rarely do.

giggs, scholes, neville.

There a quite a few. Jamie Carragher, Steve Gerrard, Paul Scholes, Ryan Giggs. To a lesser extent, David Beckham. Frank Lampard, John Terry.
What about Kev McNaughton? Never makes a fuss about contracts etc

Its easy staying loyal when you are winning things
And the money helps being at one of the biggest clubs in the world

ryan giggs was pretty loyal wasn't he
Sat Jan 15, 2011 12:20 am
All the players you have named are with prem clubs, Steve Bull was with a club in the 3rd division, and never took the offers ,When a club come in form him He once ask his wife, you want to go to ( I will not say the club name) they want me to go there and play for them ? before his wife could reply ,he said ok lets stay here, were ok here. He could have gone from the 3rd to the first but didnt. Also why should J.Terry want to leave ? he is on a huge amount there and with a top club.

Intesting people say carragher is loyal.... The everton fan who played for Liverpool all his career.
Loyal to money or football??
Sat Jan 15, 2011 12:22 am
I know he has had 5 clubs but David Beckham
He is my favourite non Cardiff player
Always does everything for his club and country
As much as i hate England, I hae tdmire Beckhams loyalty to his country.
Most of all Paolo Maldini 25 years he played for AC Milan, now that is loyal
Other players
Shearer
Keane
Giggs
Scholes
G.Neville
Gerrard
Carragher
Keegan
Totti
I got a good one, Steve Harper of Newcastle, he was number 2 behind Shag Given for year but stayed loyal and is still there
Sat Jan 15, 2011 12:26 am
I like Harper but you have to question his desire to play if he was on the bench for aaaall those years when he's a good keeper and surely could have gone somewhere else.

are they loyal ? or no ambition ???

Surely Le Tissier was the most loyal, by far the best player in a crap Southampton side who had plenty of opportunities to leave but played his whole career there!

The same Gerrard that was moving to Chelsea until his family received death threats?

Steve Bull is a bit of a bad example, that was in the day players had a good wage and not astronomical like they are today. Today he would have been off to play for a club that doubled their wages like Cardiff and then off when Birmingham doubled them again.
Gerrard? Dont make me laugh. He was captain of the club he supported as a boy, his hometown, a club he had played for since a small lad and just won the biggest club trophy there was and he STILL had to be talked into staying.

On that note the kind of player I admire the most is a player that turns down something to achieve something he wants. In 98 Spurs had a bid accepted for Ole Gunnar Solsjkaer and they promised him first team football, Solsjkaer was among Sheringham, Yorke and Cole vying for 2 striker positions but he turned it down as he wanted to stay at Manchester United. We all know what he did at the end of the season.
A bizarre one is Henrik Larsson who did not think he was good enough to play in Spain or Italy so he went to Scotland and turned down moves to other clubs in bigger leagues

Mark Noble.

Yeah.

I'd go for Frank Worthington. You need to be really old to remember him!!!
Only had twenty four (24) clubs in a glittering career. Managed to fit in 8 England caps as well somehow.

Your so wrong ! Steve Bull was offerd to go play for real big clubs when he was with wolves in the 3rd Division, He would have been on real big money to what he was getting with Wolves. But he stay with Wolves co he wanted to see them get back into the 1st as it was then. THat is loyalty and he stay with Wolves all his playing life, and he still works for them.

Garry Monk.
Clearly one of the best, if not the best CB in his respective division for the last 6 seasons with us and has not once asked for more money or a move elsewhere.
Sat Jan 15, 2011 11:40 am
Michael Chopra
Just kidding.

Has anyone even tried to buy monk ?
