He's not signed a new contract, so no guarantees he'd be staying anyway.
Indeed, if that's his true view, then he's acknowledging he and other players simply aren't good enough. Players DJ brought in.

Getting shot of him, in my opinion, would be the wrong move. I have to agree with Jay and say that I think it's the players not performing that have caused this situation. Although, I have doubted some of his tactics over a few games.
I know that pretty much everyone on this board is going to disagree with me, but I say give him the season.
He will get us there.

Nerd I think it is very relevant what a current player is saying regardless of the length of contract he has left, I am saying that it could blow this season up if players came out and backed DJ if he was sacked.
At present we are still in the promotion race.

Then surely he would say nothing if he were not backing him and I promise you Jay will not be the only one.

Chris the fact that Jay's is tweeting it is support for DJ.
Regards him not playing is irrelevant I believe, Jay is very much one of those players.

At present.
Those players have repeated said we need to play better for weeks on end and failed to do that. If you thus take Jay's words at face value, it's acknowledging those players aren't good enough. Clearly DJ hasn't turned things around either.
Jay's comments also have to be taken into perspective. The side is utterly built around him playing with no plan B. Of course he's going to be utterly loyal to DJ. Vested self interest whilst under contract to us.
DJ and the players have shown no sign of turning things around with a run of tough games ahead. If they wouldn't make the effort due to DJ being sacked, what precisely would be the difference from now?

Everyone take a reality step , we love Cardiff but lets be realistic , we are achieving things now , we have money now so be realistic. £30m will be used for debts pay off , TG pay off , money for players wages etc etc sam . How much left for new players ?? Not much .

Plan A - lump it to Bothroyd; get him playing in others.
Plan B - lump it to Parkin, get him to hold it up for others.
Plan B is thus the same as Plan A, showing a paucity of tactical acumen on Jones' part. What about, I dunno, passing the ball on the floor where we do look good at times?

But this isn't 25 years ago, we have the strongest team in god knows how many years, yet we've achived 8 points from the past 30 odd.

Agree but Jones got us to top 2 before this match , Wolves had terrible run before automatic , million dollar question is do we gamble on Jnes till end of season or new manager now that will change team or tactics that may not pay off . Jones deserves till season end - my opinion
