Ridsdale/Rifts/Due Diligence

Good Afternoon City Fans,

I have of late been reading your forum with great interest in the main to follow any further snippets on our mutual association with Peter Ridsdale. Peter recently attended the England V All Blacks Rugby International with his Father at Twickenham and as usual failed to keep his lips together, unfortunately for dear Peter I was sat directly behind him.

It seemed from the conversation that it had been a while since Peter had seen his Father and was content more than watching the game of catching up with his Father of his latest activities .

It's of course a very one sided story no doubt between Son informing Father and many comments made raised an internal chuckle as it was clearly not a tale of reality, although was very impressionable for Father. Peter clearly in his reality , firstly saved Cardiff City, then brought it International Investors from Malaysia and then for all his hard work and achievements was " screwed over " by the Malaysians as well as the remaining board of Cardiff City. Vincent Tan finally put the nail in the coffin with the severance settlement.

Now what was interesting whilst this part of the discussion took place was that of how it came about, and the reason I approach this on here is after reading latest forum discussions over the matter of Due Diligence .

Apparently Peter feels his severance was affected by a rift between TG & Vincent Tan himself and he took the brunt of it due to the annoyance of Tan. Due Diligence had though clearly not been completed and Tan had relied mainly on the findings and reports from TG, from what I could understand it was TG who had fallen for the idea of owning Cardiff City and hence bought a small shareholding with the intent of trying to attract Tan.

Reading between the Ridsdale dialogue to his Father, it sounded very much that Tan was blaming TG for not collating the correct information that Ridsdale had supplied TG, Peter's version to Father was naturally relayed as it was not the fault of Peter but that of TG in his requests, of course that's what he would obviously state to his Father! Albeit I would imagine the way we all know Peter Ridsdale he had no doubt hoodwinked TG. Tan eventually became furious and repaid Ridsdale with a ruthless "payback" which affected Ridsdale and his severance payment drastically. So in answer to your forum discussions, there was no actual Due Diligence.

I have contacted a few persons today to see if I could find a clearer picture of events for you.

The first obvious one is the rift between TG & Tan continues as Tan feels now lack of confidence in TG and his abilities and hence why Tan will now deal with Langstone himself although TG had whittled down the negotiations to a mere 7 million settlement.

Tan is also furious to discover that TG had been borrowing hard personal cash from other Directors to fund the wages at one stage, it's reported that TG still owes Steve Borley £500,000 and has failed to pay it back way beyond the agreement at the time.

It would appear that TG is not the figure of the person that he purports to be and his actions have not been seen in good light by Tan as he feels it's cost him heavily so far.

Tan is also considered to be getting extremely frustrated on his investment and insists on promotion this year to see a quick return. It's understood he has a very short fuse especially after feeling duped, after the Preston game on Saturday he certainly was not impressed with the performance and strongly made his feelings known, which in turn brought about the infamous irate interview with your Manager Dave Jones.

In football circles it is understood that Tan has openly stated that in the event Cardiff City look at anytime of dropping away from promotion Jones will be instantly dismissed, no doubt putting Jones under certain pressure which may even be affecting his own performance. Tan has already made contact with certain parties according to sources within the football industry with a view to replacements in the event.

The pressure is clearly coming from the top as Tan doesn't appear to enjoy making large investment into Football and has full focus on a quick fire return with promotion. I hope for the Managers sake and the teams and more importantly you the fans that the pressure does not seep through the ranks and affect your performances. Tan needs to realise this is not boardroom business but in the cold reality of day it's football and nothing is guaranteed . The more relaxed a Club/team is the better it will perform.

Interesting take on things. Good news for Jones haters, especially if we do the inevitable and drop from out of promotion places.

Interesting comment this. I put this idea forward yesterday in another thread where someone asked what you would do if you were Mr.Tan - great minds think alike it seems

Good and bad news then!

Good news is Tan is a ruthless business man and will do everything in his power to get us promoted this season.

Bad news is he is a ruthless business man and if we dont get promoted, he could easily up and leave us in the shit.

Looks like the Rollacoster ride has started again!

In which case this story cant be believed.

You have to wonder how TNT would have such detail about internal discussions between TG and VT which would only be known to a handful of people and possibly only to the 2 men themselves.

I'm not convinced.

Yes, it collates pretty well, doesn't it?

Now, if Ridsdale's dad is indeed dead, as in not alive, certainly unable to attend rugby games at this present time, that would lend itself to a nice story being wrapped about snippets already made public...

I'm not convinced.

can i just add that if you check the dates not only was he sat behind someone who was talking to a dead person but that same person on that day was suppossed to be with the directors of plymouth argyle.
the disturbing thing is the thing about the money owed to steve borley is true so i suspect someone is playing a game here

Re: Ridsdale/Rifts/Due Diligence

TNT was sad last time and more so this time. Dont need his comments as PR is no longer CCFC. if you recall he was posting
for the goods of CCFC and to warn us of PR,s evil deeds. As I say PR and his evil have long since gone. Bye Bye TNT and thanks for the info. The boards for fans and not trouble makers.Yes PR said his dad is dead. RIP. not sure if he is or not and frankly couldn't care.

I suspect Annis and Lord already knew all this but just didn't want to go into that much depth for the good of the club.

Nonetheless, interesting to know TNT, even if some of the details were 'off''.

Hmm. One thing I'm good at is smelling rats.

We now hear the man wasn't really Ridsdale's dad. That would be impossible. No, he merely thought it was Ridsdale's dad. Which is why he repeatedly referred to Ridsdale's father rather than doing what anyone else would do, and write something like "there with a man who may have been his dad". Indeed, quite what relevance Ridsdale's relationship to the man is/was is irrelevant to the tale anyway.

So what can we tell from this post? The premise has been shown to be false; it's a mashup of previously revealed information. The new item about Borley seems kosher... I'm just wondering if the cock and bull story around it has been designed to discredit previously revealed information.
