Watford - Amazing :

A devoted Watford supporter believes that they would do very well if they avoid relegation this season . They presently are the worst scoring side in the Championship with only 7 goals .

He says that their Italian manager is way out of his depth in the Championship ….and has no understanding of this league and what it requires .

Their team is a hodge-podge collection of players from all over the world . In their last game agsinst Burnley their starting 11 were from 11 different nationalities . Their 9 subs were from 9 different nationalities .

Out of the twenty only one country had 2 players …the Congo .

The full truth is that some had dual nationalities ….mainly English and another - but still these players opted to play for their country …..not England.

To me ….if true …..I find it not only incredibly amazing ….but frankly very irresponsible , unprofessional and plain bad management .

Apparently their Italian owner is a pretty strange guy in that he keeps chopping and changing managers , management staff and players .

BBM: Lawlor suffered knee soreness and

Dylan Lawlor was named in the starting XI for the first time this season yesterday.

However, the Wales international was taken off in the 78th minute in the 2-1 Blackburn defeat and could be doubt for Tuesday.

And now Brian Barry-Murphy has revealed the defender, who has missed most of the season until now with a knee injury, was suffering towards the end of the game...

“I think he was just a bit sore in his knee. We only had one more stoppage left to make changes, so I didn't want to leave him on the pitch in case he had to come off.”

"We made both changes in that situation so we wouldn't be left with 10 men.

"Dylan's a great lad. Great player, and he'll improve a lot from today."

Former Watford owner Elton John has said he is "upset and disappointed" by the club's form following their 4-0 home loss to 22nd-placed Burnley.

The Hornets sit 20th in the Championship table having lost three straight league games and five of their past six.

In a now-deleted response to a club post on Instagram, external, the global music star said: "As a lifetime supporter of Watford FC, I am very upset and disappointed at the decline over the past few weeks.

"I really feel for the supporters who have to watch this."

Watford appointed Alessio Dionisi as their manager in June on a two-year contract, with the Italian becoming their 12th head coach, not including interim bosses, since the end of the 2020-21 season.

His side negotiated a challenging start to the season well, beating Southampton at Vicarage Road and then drawing away at Wrexham and at home to West Ham.

They have picked up points in just one of their subsequent fixtures, beating Preston 2-1 at home last month.

They were 3-0 down inside 25 minutes on Saturday, going on to lose to a Burnley side who had previously won one league match in 2026, against Crystal Palace in the Premier League in February, and had not won an away fixture in almost a year.

Childhood Watford fan John has had two spells as the owner of Watford, initially overseeing their rise from the fourth tier to a second-placed finish in Division One and European football under Graham Taylor in the 1970s and 1980s.

Returning to takeover the club in the mid-1990s, he re-appointed Taylor, who took the club into the Premier League in 1999 with successive promotions.

Well they should believe in the manager and team, because we've played well in every home game so far.

The mayor of Watford, Peter Taylor, has called for improvements at the football club as frustrations among fans continue to rise.

Saturday saw the Hornets’ poorest performance of the season, a 4-0 defeat against Burnley who, at the time, were bottom of the Championship table.

In fact, it was the Hornets’ joint-heaviest home defeat in a league game since a 5-0 thrashing at the hands of Liverpool in October 2021.

Mayor Taylor was in attendance at Vicarage Road on Saturday, where fierce boos rang out after just 35 minutes, by which time Watford were already 3-0 down.

In a statement provided to the Watford Observer, Mayor Taylor said that he understands fans’ frustrations and called for improvements at the club.

“I was at the Burnley match on Saturday,” he said. “This was a painfully poor performance. I know that fans are frustrated and angry about the situation at the moment and understandably want to see things improve.

“The club is a huge part of our town, and they’ve done so much for the community for decades. We need to see things turned around.”

Mayor Taylor’s statement follows a series of similar messages from supporter groups, former players and even legendary former chairman, Sir Elton John.

Following a series of statements, most notably from Sir Elton, who admitted to being “very upset” about the Hornets’ decline, The 1881 Movement, an official supporter group, published an open letter of no confidence in the club’s owner, Gino Pozzo, late on Sunday.

Watford supporters call for vote of no confidence ahead of Cardiff City clash

Watford fans are making their feelings clear after a nightmare few days at Vicarage Road.

The 1881 Movement, the group behind the Hornets’ singing section, have issued a letter of no confidence in owner Gino Pozzo following Saturday’s 4-0 home defeat to Burnley.

The result has left Watford just a point above the Championship relegation zone - and a spot above Cardiff in the table - after nine games, sparking growing unrest among supporters.

Troy Deeney, Paul Robinson and even club legend Sir Elton John have all voiced concerns over the club’s situation, while calls for protests against the ownership are growing.

The 1881 Movement have now warned: “If immediate resolve is not achieved, we will become a louder and more visible voice moving forward.”

Watford travel to Cardiff City Stadium on Tuesday night. Could the mounting pressure surrounding the club spill over into their trip to south Wales?

Surely we are winning this tonight so a city win for me at ours, if not the rot will set in irrelevant of tippy tappy stats I don't care about that goalkeeper, center halfs, backwards and sideways shit passing over and over we need points so let's get a few goals early I say.

Watford have won 1 game in the last 14 away games and that's going in to the end of last seasons and this season so far. There fans are foaming at the mouth at there manager and the way he's setting them up from what I'm reading online.

A must win game to climb above them surely :ayatollah:

Score: 2-3
Just can't see us keeping clean sheets, the more we have to chase a game the more open we become at the back.
