Going for a draw again but hopefully we can nick it. Depends if it's not working but we persist on playing the exact same way. Stoke have half a team out who played on the weekend but they got players who can slot on on the level :bluescarf:

“We knew the games were very close together in this opening period. With the squad the size of ours, that has its challenges, but we'll try to play really well in our home stadium, and try to win.

"We have to remain calm. I wouldn't get too carried away by where we are; it's very early in the season. We've worked together for a period with a lot of these players, so that's a real benefit - we know how we work. We have to improve, and that will remain the case.

"We were backed incredibly on Wednesday night at an extreme cost to our supporters. To come to Portsmouth in such numbers again, the support is incredible, and we don't take that for granted. I can't thank them enough for what they've done, but we know that our job is to win."

Brian provided an injury update ahead of the game, after Isaak Davies missed out on Saturday's match at Fratton Park.

"Isaak wasn't fit - he felt his hamstring in training on Friday, so I imagine he won't be available for Tuesday. The rest of the guys are back around the international break, so I don't imagine anything will change between now and Tuesday.

"The players who are here will have our full backing, our full support to try and help them produce a performance that gives us a chance to win. We're very confident that we can win games at this level, and I'm sure we will."

Is that to every away game or just select games? Either way it's pretty fantastic that they do that.

Stoke City are assessing injuries to Bosun Lawal and Sam Gallagher as they go in hunt of a third win on the spin – and their first away win since January.

Lawal limped out in the second-half of Stoke’s 4-0 win over Charlton while Gallagher was taken straight down the tunnel for treatment after pulling up in the first half.

Regardless, Mark Robins has hinted that he will rotate the squad to deal with the avalanche of fixtures thrown up in the Championship. A Tuesday night trip to Cardiff will be Stoke’s sixth game in 18 days, with a seventh to come away at Watford on Saturday.

Robins has sounded pleased with squad depth coming out of the transfer window and it was a bench full of senior players at the weekend. Maksym Talovierov, Robert Bozenik, Lamine Cisse, Jack McGlynn and Ben Pearson were sent on while Tomas Rigo, Bae Junho and Luca Bombino remained unused.

Million Manhoef will hope to shrug off an injury he picked up in training while Junior Tchamadeu is close to a return. Ben Gibson has been serving concussion protocol, Svante Ingelsson is probably going to be sidelined until the international break and Aaron Cresswell is out longer term.

Ato Ampah came through a 45-minute run-out for the under-21s on Friday night at Stockport as he returns to action for the first time since joining Stoke from Chelsea in January.

Robins said: “(The players not in the starting XI have) got to stay focused, they’ve got to stay joined up. They’re not always going to start but it’s going to be a case that you can have squad rotation, you can maybe keep people fresh and try to avoid the injuries.”

This is expected to be the last game until mid-October for Bae Junho, who has been named in South Korea’s squad for the Asian Games. The Seoul press reports that he will travel east on Thursday.

Cardiff are expected to miss Wales forward Isaak Davies, who was left out of a game at Portsmouth on Saturday due to a hamstring injury.

Cardiff are expected to miss Wales forward Isaak Davies, who was left out of a game at Portsmouth on Saturday due to a hamstring injury.

Brian Barry-Murphy’s squad has been stretched in the first few weeks of the season and he named two goalkeepers on the bench at Fratton Park. Callum Chambers, Dylan Lawlor and Will Fish are also unavailable.

“(Davies) felt his hamstring in training so I imagine he won’t be available for Tuesday,” Barry-Murphy told WalesOnline. “The rest of the guys are back around the international break so I don’t imagine anything will change between now and Tuesday.

“(Chambers) is in the same bracket as Dylan and Will Fish. He won’t be available for Tuesday and it’s a bit more complicated because of his injury.”

All i want to see is Joel Colwill starting alongside Rubin.
I bet Joel is desperate to start games but BBM seem to not favour him to start games.

Salech up top as always since he is our only striker available due to Issak Davies being injured

All us fans want is a better performance after 2 poor results. Even if we lose as long as our performance in the game
is much better and improving then fans won't mind. Yes we want wins but the performance is needed for fans to see
the improvements in order to get wins.

I think it will be the usual back 4, Bagan Osho Bielik and Perry NG

The key is performance
Improvement in performance will mean goals in which will lead to wins.
Need of course to be solid at the back and not leak the goals but our hands are tied until Lawlor returns.

That's a weak bench, not sure we put out a weaker one than that throughout the whole of last season. Oh well, what can we do? BBM choose this so we gotta roll with it.

Just give it your absolute all boys, the crowd will be with you from the off. Get out there and get this win on the board so we can all breath a sigh of relief.
