QPR had a few more chances then Cardiff in the first 30mins, but it was end to end.

36mins QPR 1-0 Cardiff City (Burrell) Goal! Set piece proves the undoing for Cardiff. Burrell pokes home a messy one.

Bbm really let down in the transfer market and what on earth has happened to salech? I don’t think he did none good thing tonight or won one header against anybody

Good thing we haven’t brought in another striker to challenge Salech, we wouldn’t want the squad to be too big.

Tanner , Ashford and Salech so poor .

Salec letting down the front line but we have to go till January osho solid at the back man of the match.

I felt they invited us to play the way they wanted first half, frantic and letting the game ebb and flow. The issue is, we defend terribly, so if we don’t have possession and keep giving it up we look vulnerable.

Salech maybe needs to be benched, he’s getting no service for 80 minutes and by the time he does, it’s after battling all game to even get a touch on the ball. He might impact more from the bench if we are chasing a game.

Onto the next one, hopefully a better performance saturday

What a difference from their striker Burrell compared to Salech!

Mobile, quick and dangerous even though he should have had at least a hat trick.

Salech stationary, slow and non-existent in comparison.

Let’s hope it’s a one off.

We did not look like a league one side. Total over reaction. We lost by 2 v 1 away from home. Yes a poor performance tonight and key players not at it but hardly a total disaster. We are going to struggle this year until we can sort that defence.

Colwill done nothing all night bar give the ball away how did he stay on the pitch beggers belief, salech was dreadful can't remember one time he held the ball up turned and went forward but he wasn't alone. The ref was a f*cking shit show again Vs us in every decision but that does not disguise the fact we wasnt good enough, passing was awful giving it away but there goalkeeper had nothing to do all night bar pick the ball from his net from an Ng goal.

Sideways and backward football only works if your creating chances, you can't win passing teams to death across the back line down the wing then back again without having shots on target.

You have to change the system and tactics in this league to suit so BBM needs to learn fast or wins will be sparse with this squad but that's what he's delt.

Osho my mom by far

We go again Saturday :bluescarf:

Annis, we can't defend, we look like conceading every time a team attack us and we don't have a DM player. It's early in the season but it's not looking good is it.

I don’t think a result like this evening will surprise anyone. We know the level, we know the physically, we know the talent available to other teams.

The year we were relegated, it was drawing games we could’ve won that killed us. 4 games in, 3 draws and a loss.. time to panic? No. But BBM’s team need to sort this defence out quickly and we’ve got to find a way to convert possession into 3 points.

Going to be an interesting season!

Gave the ball away cheaply nothing up to and we look vulnerable when teams break and poor quality crossing

Early doors yet we can't get relegated 3 games in we are lacking something but I don't now what

Poor game for us
Only got a bit better when Perry NG scored
They all looked off it tonight
Sloppy passing
This is our reality until Lawlor and Fish returns to us in 3 months time
No idea why our new defender never started the game
Subs were too late to happen
Joel Colwill would off been better in this game than Rubin due to
how quick we needed our play to be there was not too much space for Rubin to take
the ball forward

Got off lightly tonight we could have lost 5-1 tonight if QPR finished there chances off

Tonight showed exactly why additions were needed.

The boys finally ran out of luck, and there weren’t many positives beyond a decent showing from Osho.

I’m still struggling to understand Tanner’s continued selection, while Salech was virtually anonymous, although the service into him offered very little.

I’m echoing what many have already said, but this was the perfect example of why the squad needed strengthening before the deadline. One defeat doesn’t define a season, but the lack of depth is difficult to ignore.

Is Robertson better than wintle in that position ?

Re: TONIGHT MY VIEW : CARDIFF ACTUALLY LOOKED LIKE A LEAGUE

Wed Sep 02, 2026 8:48 pm

We were far to passive all game ..they didn't do anything to score we gave them the goals ... even after our goal nothing changed still pedestrian no change in tactics even when we went 442 same possession for possession sake no urgency to get ball in middle.... a totally opposite display to Saturday then energetic tonight pedestrian! and wide players not knowing what their supposed to do and could say better off without them (Willock at least crossed ball if not accurately).... another frustrating game that with a bit of care wouldn't have lost probably .... bbm really needs to be able to change tactics and not base everything on possession and holding ball for as long as possible... losing means you need to score not keep the ball

This is no joke , this is relegation form - that’s the reality . To me salech looks like he had never played a game of football in his life . BBM has to take the blame as whatever reason we are open at the back , wide open . He needs to get streetwise and quickly .

I wonder if BBM can find any positives from this performance tonight?

They had far more desire than we did, felt let down

He couldn't lace wintles boots up in the same position to be honest in my opinion. Nowhere near as good. Always out of position when teams break because that's now his preferred position but we all know that.

i would prefer Joel to start ahead of him
I would start Rubin Joel and Moylan for pompey

Proves we needed a winger when our midfielder was playing as the winger

It's now showing, we are struggling in areas, no answer at times, where's the backing of the manager to strengthen, if we go down its there fault not the manager, we are on a survival this year, AGAIN....

One shot in the second half………. With like 75% of the possession

We are now stuffed until Jan where we won’t be backed. Lose on Saturday and the fan base will start to turn on BBM who seems to get a free ride at the moment.

Very poor performance by most of the team tonight with the exception being Osho. I’d have hooked Willock ten minutes after he came on - not sure how Salech was supposed to get near any of his crosses

BBM won't be blamed because he can only use players he has with him
The blame would solely be at the board and Tan

BBM could easily get players in but the board and owner said no more
I don't blame BBM because we got promoted with him and he has build something here
