WE ARE DESPERATE FOR ANOTHER STRIKER

Mon Aug 31, 2026 4:58 pm

We surely cannot exspect salec to play 90 mins twice a week he is going to have off days ,possible injuries and Robinson is no favoured by BBM he hardly got involved last season.
I am hoping a striker comes in this transfer window above all other positions.

Agree we need another to push Salech, im still not convinced on him ,great crosses were put in the box on saturday and he was no where near them

That's why we're signing one, if reports are to be believed.

Re: WE ARE DESPERATE FOR ANOTHER STRIKER

We're not desperate though, are we?

We're currently 2nd in shots on target per 90 and 5th in goals scored.

We need depth and competition, but performing well over the first 3 games and transferring our possession (currently #1 with 66%) and all other attacking stats.

I dont see us struggling for goals. It'll be how many we prevent, in my opinion. BBM's style is clear.

I think we need one just in case Salech gets injured or suspended, strongly believe we will (not claiming to be ITK because I'm not, just think we will).

Do you think salec can play 90 mins twice a week ?

I 100% Agree we need not only back as a Striker, but one to change games if Salech is having an off day.

Annis exactly some people will argue about the terminology desperate is not the right word what would they say ,if salec had a relapse straight after the window closes, would we still not be desperate,
As I said he would be burnt out twice a week, and we need to change strategy sometimes and fresh legs

Yes, if fit. The top 4 goalscorers last season did, I just checked.

A championship manager rarely rotates a goal scoring striker.

I agree we need one, but not desperate. Id rather 2 wingers who'd chip in with 10 goals each...

I reckon they'll expect Isaak Davies to provide cover as a centre forward.

There was some mention of him playing as a striker a week or so ago.

Just about everyone thinks we need one but how desperate we are is up for debate & no I don't think he could play 2 90 minute games a week, every week & we do need someone to take over when he is having an off day like Saturday even though I thought BBM was a little (ok a lot) slow in taking him off & giving CR at least a chance to do something.

Monty we are in need of one rapid ,
And I’m still not convinced on salech , was saying to Joe Saturday that salech never seems to be making the right move to the ball and seems to be getting worse , not sure what is going on there but something needs to change

His arial power has taken a big nock of confidence before his injury he powered into crosses and challenges that is not there now.

What type of striker are we looking for? Someone pacey, able to press, and with excellent off-the-ball movement? Or are we looking for someone like Salech?

Jayden Danns type for me

An alternative striker for me when we need to change it up but also an all rounder who is good in the air and with his feet but quicker than salec I find him quite ponderous in his movement

He's definitely lost something since his injury, I've said that for a while & I think it's his brain telling him it rather than ability. He needs a few sessions with a good sports psychologist, or just a normal psychologist.

I don’t think he has a lot of arial power. Never has.
I think he’s very ordinary in the air.

I also think we need another striker because Davies isn’t good enough and neither is Robinson.

Cannot believe i half agree with you but I believe he was scoring quite a few in the air.

As he should, as I did at my level but I don’t believe it’s his strength

I cannot believe for one second that we wont strengthen further. If we dont, irrespective of how the team do in the immediate term, there will be a lot of anger.

That would be disappointing as The Dictator was, after promotion, riding a bit of a crest, and hopes were/are high based on the promotion and our capture of a very good young manager

Probably all Tan and Choo's fault, going by reading comments on this forum

There will be anger but Tan wasn't riding any crest, the plaudits went to the manager rightly so. He'd have turned up for a game by now if he thought he wouldn't be booed out of the building. I think everyone here agrees it's time he sold up, the only disagreements are how much blame gets laid at his door.

Lack of interest is all there to see we have spent around 2 million in this transfer window so far no communication from above after saying there would be but as we have been told plenty we are customers not fans.
