Like I've said before, Swansea are more attractive than us at the moment because we are a newly promoted team.

I don't think we'll be anywhere near relegation this season so expect we'll be a more attractive proposition next summer.

Are Swansea really that much more attractive a proposition than us on paper?

Yes, they're established in the Championship, but they're hardly a West Ham or Middlesbrough — clubs you'd expect to be right up there challenging.

You'd also have thought BBM's Man City connections would work in our favour here, especially when it's a winger we're absolutely crying out for.

You can't deny the Jacks have been miles ahead of us with their recruitment this summer. They've got their business done early and, from the outside at least, it all seems to have been a very smooth process.

With the business they've done, I actually think they've given themselves a really good chance of challenging this season.

Tomorrow is massive for us now. If we don't get the players we desperately need through the door, the club will only have itself to blame.

We've got some genuine generational talent at the club right now, and opportunities like this don't come around very often. If we fail to properly build around that talent and give ourselves the best possible chance of achieving something, it will feel like an incredible opportunity wasted.

That's how it generally works! Manager looks at players he wants "NOT" at who he knows ... we may need a winger but what makes anyone think this kid is what he wants? There's a lot of why didn't we go for him or him ect ect simple reason bbm didn't want him so no bids offered. Only bbm knows who and what hes looking at its that simple

He's a £12m winger — pacy, tricky and one of Leicester's shining lights, even though he was only 16 at the time.

His stats aren't amazing 2 assists and one goal from 27 games but I wouldn't be surprised to see a big leap in those numbers a year on

He looks exactly the type of player we should be looking at as a loan option and would give us something totally different to what we currently have.

Basically a faster version of Willock with a much higher ceiling.

fans will read that nothing has changed which is a dam shame the manager and players we have and style have come together so well after last season and we need to push on as a club not just surviving without ambition until January window.

Very true Monty, we have a lot of talented players atm and without doubt a brilliant manager, I often wonder if the hierarchy match the ambition and talent of our players and manager and by all intents and purposes they generally fall short. Imo it's them upstairs that are stunting our ambitions in my mind.

Very true Monty, we have a lot of talented players atm and without doubt a brilliant manager, I often wonder if the hierarchy match the ambition and talent of our players and manager and by all intents and purposes they generally fall short. 100% upstairs when was the last time tan came to a game totally lost interest and always on a low budget,
dalhman promised better communication between the board and fans after we protested nothing has changed .

That said, he could be left with egg on his face if we’ve taken it to the final day and his targets don’t come off because the bigger clubs fail to land their own targets and won’t release the players we want.

That’s always the gamble when you leave your business this late.

Fingers crossed it all comes together tomorrow.

I do think BBM has been backed to an extent, especially as we’ve managed to keep hold of our best young talent. But give him a couple of genuine £6m–£7m quality additions and I honestly don’t think this team would be far away.

If we can keep this group of youngsters together for another season, then next summer could be the time to really roll the dice. There are the makings of something very good here.

The only issue is will Tan ever splash big and that these players will definitely be in the shop window now. Last season there was always that slight disguise of them doing it in League One, but if they perform at the same level in the Championship, there’ll be no hiding their quality. Keeping them all together for another year could be the biggest challenge of all.

Should we have pushed the boat out this season then,? while we have the neclious of the team and manager still together ,this could all go badly and break up and we loose elements of this group or leader.

It's a good point.

Even if we do moderately well this season there's going to be a lot of interest in our youngsters who by then will also have benefitted from a year in the Championship.

So why aren't there any? BBM has worked with these players, but they don't want to work under him here.
