Another frustrating morning browsing X and watching lots of championship clubs signing players some who I think would have been a decent fit for our club
What the flying f**k are they doing I’m starting to get very annoyed now if anyone at Cardiff City Football Club who has anything to do with transfers get a f*cking move on. !!!!!!

Another frustrating morning signing into this forum and seeing yet more complaining, like spoilt children.

Remember you saying last summer that Plymouth and Luton had made loads of signings and we hadn't. Look how that turned out.

Of course the Championship is different but plenty of time.

Worcester,
Let's be frank, something is not right.
We haven't got a full coaching. team / back room staff or an under 21 manager.
We have a worse squad than last year and only one fit recognised centre half.
Rivals are signing players while we are not.
Today, Portsmouth signed a centre half on loan from Brentford.
We need reinforcements ASAP, that's not moaning that's a fact.
Every point will count this season for us to avoid relegation.
Either the club is in financial meltdown or our recruitment team are still on holiday!

I remember people saying "something is wrong" last summer.

We can all criticise at the end of the window when it's actually fair to.

Judging it now is a bit like judging the result of a football match with 20 minutes left to go.

I think the worry is that as has been mentioned on another thread, if all our business is done at the end of the transfer window we have three games before then.

That's potentially 9 points which could literally be the difference between staying up this year and being relegated.

Wouldn't you agree that we're weaker now than we were at the end of last season, especially taking into account our defensive injuries?

Of course there are still a few weeks to go but are you happy to be going into the new season with just one new signing?

Yes I am, providing we add the quality we need by the end.

It's only three games. We'll have 43 games after that to get things right if we don't get the results.

That's assuming we get players who are fully match fit and able to be in contention immediately which wasn't the case with Kellyman last season.

Re: Another frustrating morning browsing X and watching lots

I think supporters concerns at this stage are entirely justified.

Winning matches gives you positive momentum but the reverse is true. In our relegation season we went on a record run of defeats at start of our relegation season, so we never recovered.

If that happens again, which it could, it'll potentially set us off on a downward spiral as we have a relatively young squad.

We need new blood NOW, not 3 or 4 matches in, when we may already be on the back foot and confidence could be low.

Its difficult to watch our rivals recruit whilst we're effectively sitting on our hands and hoping for the best.

I think any fan with just limited knowledge of football is starting to worry Annis. It's not just the fact we have only signed 2 players, it's how late these signings will be and how long these players need to get fit and integrate into our system.

I for one am sweating and if BBM is too then that doesn't help! :bluebird:

We should have had 4 in by the first game of the season. Criticising the clubs transfer policy is absolutely justified when we have a worse team than last years league 1 team 3 days before the championship kicks off.

Re: Another frustrating morning browsing X and watching lots

It's just a case of having some hope and faith that BBM and the club won't let the current opportunity pass. We're not just going for a standard championship player he is looking for the best we can get in our current state. Players will want to come here and we may have to wait but i really belive we will be excited by the time the window closes. Im sure he would be happy having his current squad for 3 games if it meant the signings he does get are absolute quality. Instead of signing someone now while still thinking he can get someone better.

Re: Another frustrating morning browsing X and watching lots

But it's fine we can throw away the first 5 games we will catch up.

So let’s say 3/4 games pass us by before anyone signs. Then you have to give the new signings time to settle in and get on board with what BBM wants from them. Plus match fitness if they Havnt played for their current clubs at start of season. We could be sacrificing 7/8 games before we even get a settled starting 11. It’s dreadful planning.

I'm with Worcester on this. You cannot judge while the window is still open.

Loans occurring this early are well down the pecking order at their parent clubs, who are happy for them to leave.

The Loans you get at the end of the transfer window were still in their managers mind until they bought in better late on

The same with buying now, players allowed to leave from higher clubs are already surplus to requirements.

The only current deals worth their salt are where clubs with large amounts of cash are forcing the hands of the parent club, who really don't want to sell.

This is your Prem teams using their muscle and going after the best of Europe. Also the likes of Boro who have sold a player for a massive amount.

I am pretty pumped that we bought a player whose parent club were desperate to keep him.

I am very intelligent, part of the reason why I'm unconcerned right now. There is plenty of time to go.

I have been consistent in my view that I won't judge the squad until we know what we have from August until January. I'm not going to move from that.

If we don't add the quality we need, we'll be in and around the bottom three and will have problems. I'll hold my hands up and say my patience hasn't been rewarded. But until then I'll remain patient.

Why do players we want to sign have to be from higher clubs to improve us?

Do you not think that signing Tolaj or Ballard would have improved the squad? Indeed the player that you're happy we signed has come from a team at the same level as us.

I'm amazed that some seem to think that decent signings can only be made right at the end of the transfer window and that this is some sort of brilliant strategy by our club which means that we can have a successful season over 43 games when other teams have their squads ready for a 46 game season.

I'm amazed that some seem to think that decent signings can only be made right at the end of the transfer window and that this is some sort of brilliant strategy by our club which means that we can have a successful season over 43 games when other teams have their squads ready for a 46 game season.

I'm amazed that some think it's about what the squad looks like before the first game that matters.

You mention specific players but maybe they're not BBM players.

Others have said this but it's true - people say they back BBM, but only when it suits them.
