They are prioritising a deal for a Serbian midfielder.
I'm speculating, but probably makes us favourites for Hjerto-Dahl.

Well if the rumours are true, we've upped our bid from £5.5m for this Tromso midfielder.
As for matching Wrexham, I doubt it unfortunately. Their commercial deals are impressive and enables them to spend more.

Matching Wrexham is of no concern to me. Just want a good squad of players ready for the championship

I was mearly pointing out how much they are spending along with i presume quite a lot of clubs in the championship, and this is where we find ourselves.
To a lot of our fans 2 million is a lot, just saying we are in with the bigger fish this season we may not wish to spend but others around us will, and i am not saying we should be spending 20 million on getting the best for a push for promotion but others will and that's where we are.

It will all come out in the wash, Rog!![]()
Some of the comments surrounding transfers are presumptuous rather than genuine, as we should all know by now that the doors to genuinely confirmed information are tighter than a submarines entry hatch!

Tromso boss Jorgen Vik insists the club are in no rush to let Jens Hjerto-Dahl leave amid interest from Cardiff City. Reports suggest Cardiff City are ready to increase their offer. Jens Hjerto-Dahl did not rule out a move to the English second tier last week. He told Nordlys that he thinks the Premier League is an incredibly tough competition. He described the Championship as physical and a league where he might get more opportunities to start games and get more playing time. The player added that he wants to play like everyone else and that they will have to see what happens.

Jens Hjerto-Dahl has been a long-term target for Rangers, but Cardiff City are expected to complete a significant transfer for the Norwegian U21 international. According to Record Sport, a move to Ibrox is close to collapsing in favour of a transfer to Wales.
