Plus a 4 point deduction for the start of next season. Though they have 48 hours to appeal the decision, can't see the game going ahead on Saturday?

I’m with you on that; and all credit to the EFL in the right decision, made easy by the Saints plea of ‘guilt on 3 occasions’

Difficult to see the Saints manager staying in now but this is ‘football’

Put your money on ‘Boro to win the final now; second chances like this rarely happen and have a certain ‘inevitability’ about them!

the fans did not know about the spying,and could do nothing about that,

Their fans were gloating about it and wearing stupid fancy dress in the semi final so I have no sympathy for them.

There is one thing I hate in life and it's cheating, whether by lies or other actions. If you cannot play fair and square you should not be in the game.

I agree it was the right decision but just put myself in the position of a southampton fan gutted ,yes they should be jumping at there own club and will be in am sure.

That's because there wasn't a specific law in the EFL regulations about spying then. The law came in after the Leeds case.

I would not think all southampton fans were as you described there will be young kids who would not understand,

but to those who were gloating they will get there comeuppance next season,
I am sure there will be a few songs doing the rounds wherever they go next season.

Teaches a good lesson to those kids - cheating should always have repercussions.
