Does BBM need him to spend millions? I have no idea but I'll trust what he (BBM) says until there's a reason not to, and he has some credit in the bank after last season.

Ned I agree most fans want him out of our club but you have reasons to why you think Tan is going nowhere is that a guess he will give it another go, or something else,
just curious why fans just say he will stay .

BBM going over to Malaysia to see him is one reason. I don't see why Tan would invite him there if he had intentions on selling.

Monty the new ffp rules may have an impact on what tan does? Funny enough all the cost cutting as benefited the club and tan ... so let's assume bbm is making most of the changes! Still want need Tan to go but lets just see what tans commitment is to bbm under all the smiles ...
Ps his Mrs looks stunning in bikini!

Ned, I’m with you on all of that and it’s a good question to be asked from Monty![]()
The way I see it is partly affected by the ‘success’ of BBM on a very tight budget, using youngsters, and keeping a ‘happy’ squad together; and also the new PSR Rules (or whatever they are called now)
The overriding concern for the owner is to recoup as much of his money as he can, so the temptation for Tan must be to ‘see how it goes’ with his current coach/manager with an eye on another ‘successful’ season that might see the club and some players, value rise substantially
However, if Tan is true to his original words (witnessed by Annis and others) he can continue to ‘transfer’ monies from ‘debt to equity’ which (if I read it correctly) do not affect the new ‘rules’ adversely?
This is only my impression, but BBM meeting up with Tan out in Malaysia is an indicator that both parties are ready to go again next season

Highlandblue wrote:Stick with Tan for now. Obviously that opinion is fluid like when Cardiff do terribly when we got relegated I really wanted Chambers, Willock, pretty much every senior player to leave, but a year later and I hope they stay etc.
I don’t think there’s anything wrong with wanting Tan to stay while things are going well. But due to his history the moment it starts to turn Tan doesn't have any credit / wriggle room, so I’ll just as quickly want him gone again. But for now I don’t know why anybody would want him gone at this very moment. Let’s back BBM, focus on the football, and hope Tan backs BBM like I think he will, and let’s enjoy hopefully another memorable season.

So budd it's your impression although you would like him gone, you do not think tan is anywhere near selling is that just a hunch or do you know he is definitely here next season just asking nothing in it, but fans say he is going nowhere without any knowledge of what he is doing.

I've said all along that I don't think he will sell up until he feels he has run out of options or won in the Sala case as he feels he wants his name cleared even though he hasn't been blamed for it. It's more of a feeling I have from the way he won't let that rest. Doesn't mean I think he's right but just my thoughts on the why & I, like everyone else here, have no knowledge of what he is really doing.
I just think that affected him more than people think.

I wish he would drop the sala episode and move on ,it has detracted him big time ,
his focus has been mostly about this affair and recouping his lost money rather than improving cardiff city and pushing us to be a bigger club.
