May have got away with it against very poor sides but when we played decent teams and we had no striker on the pitch we struggled

Salech plays a particular role for us and it's difficult to find that type of player without spending money. And why do that when we were likely to be promoted and that striker knows they'd just sit on the bench when Salech is back?
The only reason to do that would be to go for the title. That makes sense from a supporter viewpoint but not from a business viewpoint. It would have been a waste of money in my view when the aim was always promotion and we were likely to achieve that anyway.
You should never panic buy because of an injury. Glad we didn't.
Would be better not to sign a striker a January and bring in one in the summer, because we will be able to attract better by being in a higher league.
Whether we will spend in the summer is another matter.
But these are the reasons I don't think a striker was essential in January and still don't think that.

Exactly what i expected from you, even if we had dropped in the play offs you would say the same.
Just look how you kept sticking up for Riza.
The TRUTH is We have Missed an out and out Striker and it’s cost us the Title and many still looking at Bolton and Bradford’s Results including yourself a fact

I'm looking at Bolton and Bradford results because they're the teams that are chasing us. That's a fact.
I wouldn't have said it if we were in the play-offs, because the whole point is we're getting promoted without having to waste money on a striker in January.
It is not worth spending money on a striker just to win the title when we're getting promoted anyway.
People (who go missing after any positive result) will go after BBM for anything and I can't work out why. They said he wouldn't take us up, he is. They doubted him when he was appointed.
We had the ridiculous thing of people having a go at him for not going to an academy in July. Then people saying we'll fall way off the pace in the autumn when we had a dip (we didn't). People saying "this guy got Rochdale relegated".
Not you but some people didn't want him at the start and now can't accept they were wrong, not once have they said "fair play he's proven me wrong". I have been wrong about managers and players before, the difference is I actually have enough grace to admit I was wrong - these other people don't.
I didn't expect top two at the start of the season so I'm delighted that that's where we'll be. Even more so that we have done it without wasting money on a striker in January.
My intention is to enjoy the rest of the promotion campaign. We have to enjoy seasons like this because not many teams come straight back up automatically and promotions don't come about often for any team.

I bet Lincoln fans are not looking at Bolton and Bradford results
We had it in the bag and January is the time everyone knows you need to strengthen BUT BBM knew their was NO SUPPORT OR MONEY FROM TAN COMING
The league is worse than dire and very very low standard and a Club like us should not even be in this league so yes we should be going straight back up.
I was enjoying it, the low crowds tell you many are not.
The actual Crowd that turned v Wycombe was a dire 13,000 approx and v Blackpool just over 15,000 that’s what it was like getting relegated last season
Because at the moment it’s not enjoyable

Then robbo could leave in the summer and we already have the striker on our books
Thing is we will have to buy a striker in the summer regardless and I doubt we will sign one like tolaj for that price so we could end up having to spend another 3-4m this summer
Not all January signings are panic buys

Are we going up? Yes or no?
If it's yes, then we got the window spot on.
As for Tolaj, Plymouth paid that in the summer and his value has gone up since then. Just like Salech's value has gone up since we signed him.
Doesn't matter anyway because he'd already played for Port Vale this season and a player can only play for two different teams in a season.

Thank fook though it's paid off coz promotion is so close now.
Personally, I wanted the club to go for it. I wanted BBM to go for it. I wanted top spot. Why on earth would you not after leading for so long. It would have made for a brilliant end to the season going toe to toe with Lincoln. Instead it's all a bit flat.
