Will we end our Boxing Day hoodoo? We are dreadful at Christmas. I think you have to go as far back as 2012 for our last win and I think we've only won two this century. Last year's Boxing day was arguably our worst game of the season losing 3 v 2 to Oxford. I predict we will really struggle again to win but this hoodoo has to end one day, maybe its this year.

I wasn't surprised we lost yesterday, Lincoln is a very tough place to go.

But this is a game we really should be winning.

I'll say a routine 3-0 win.

We really need to understand that we are top but that does not mean we can just turn up for 3 points,
most teams playing us it's there cup final and biggest scalp in this division
i hope the lads realise this it needs to be drummed into them that teams are going to be putting more effort to play us ,
and we need to overcome that by raising our game .this could be our only downfall complacency.

Yep and Doncaster is a prime example of that of late.

They were unlucky against us to go home with nothing. Their next game they got stuffed 1-5 at home to poorly Plymouth. After that performance against us their fans must be more frustrated than us.

Agree
I was there watching doncaster
Exeter thumped barnsley 3 0 saturday and they will be up for there biggest game of the season and upping there game,
that extra effort from teams could be our downfall

Personally we should not even struggle against these small clubs never mind being in this league.

Exeter City striker Jayden Wareham is good enough to impress beyond League One, according to manager Gary Caldwell.

The 22-year-old scored his ninth goal of the season in the 3-0 win over Barnsley that took Exeter out of the League One relegation places.

Wareham, a summer signing from Reading, has become Exeter's first-choice forward in recent months.

Caldwell sees similarities between him and Millenic Alli, who left Exeter for Luton Town last January for a fee worth £1.5m.

"I think when Millenic Ali did that we all know what he was valued at and what happened with his career, it goes to the next level," Caldwell told BBC Radio Devon.

"I think Jayden Wareham is a top striker at this level and beyond.

"He's still in his early 20s, and not just his goals, how he plays the game, how he leads the line.

"I think he has that little bit of aggression. I've played against those centre-forwards that leave a bit on you and he's aggressive and he's cute and he knows how to use his smaller frame.

"His aerial ability is incredible for his size, his timing and the way he leads the line and presses from the front is brilliant and the goals will come off the back of that.

"He knows how to score goals, I can't teach him that. What I think we've done with him and worked with him on is that number nine who can press from the front and lead the team as the starting block of our out-of-possession work and he's doing that incredibly well."

Asked if the players would feature against the Grecians on Boxing Day, he added:

"Will Fish was ill at the game on Saturday, the same for Joel Bagan, so those guys are almost three days ahead of Calum Chambers and we haven't seen them train yet, so I don't know, but hopefully they can make an appearance today or on Christmas Day of some sort and see if they can be available.

Quote (BBM): "We have enough players to cope no matter what so we'll be fine."

This is why I say we have the ‘right’ players, rather than the ‘number’ of players; so we can be confident that the matchday ‘jig-saw’ doesn’t leave us thinking we’re ‘scraping the barrel’ for replacements

A couple of ‘smart’ additions in January, will keep up the levels and hopefully improve them further! :ayatollah:

Around 1,500 supporters will be heading over the Severn Bridge for the Boxing Day clash at Cardiff City, although there are still tickets available for that game, while only a handful of City’s 900-strong allocation for the trip to AFC Wimbledon on December 29 remains available.

On route with my boys and one of there mate's. I expect a comfortable win today 3-0 as they are right down there. Although I hope they are not in our back lines faces pressing us as that's where we play 70 percent of our football the back 4 and goalkeeper which usually leads to mistakes it's cost us goals in the past. Some crosses in the box and get men in there with some entertaining football today please when we have the chance to get it in rather than 10 passes down the side of there box then back to our goalie. Two up top Vs these surely today rather than an isolated salech. 3 points please city :bluescarf:
